ELECTION 2017 IS COMING! – WHOSE VOICE WILL YOU FOLLOW?

ELECTION 2017 IS COMING! – WHOSE VOICE WILL YOU FOLLOW?

WILL YOU OBEY GOD OR MAN?

Once again the Bahamas is on the verge of another general election and so-called “election fever” is beginning to permeate the air.

Almost everywhere you turn, people are talking politics or predicting who the next government and Prime Minister will be. The atmosphere is filled with opinions and political prophets abound.

With all the noise, fanfare and emotional hullabaloo in the marketplace, on the airwaves and on social media, and with upcoming rallies on the horizon, there are plenty opportunities for God’s people to become caught up in the political whirlwind and lose focus of our electorate responsibility as Believers/Kingdom Citizens.

The direction that a nation takes and the manner in which it is built is greatly influenced by its governmental leaders.

Proverbs 29:2 states, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” – (NKJV)

Proverbs 28:12 states, “When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.” – (NLT)

Considering the above, it is incumbent upon us as Believers/Kingdom Citizens to use our voting privileges to, as much as possible elect godly men and women to office, and therefore as key authorities and primary decision makers in our country’s affairs.

This is extremely important for many reasons, a few being:

  • The more godly persons in positions of governmental authority, the more likely a country to retain or even expand its degree of religious freedom.
  • The more godly persons in office, the less likely the implementation of laws that oppose godly principles.
  • The more godly persons in positions of governmental authority, the easier it will be for the God’s/the King’s agenda to go forward and be established in a nation.
  • As Kingdom Citizens, we are called to obey and be subject to civil authorities (Romans 13:1, 2; I Peter 2:13-14; Titus 3:1) and it will more than likely be easier to obey godly authorities than ungodly ones.

When faced with the opportunity to exercise our voting privilege, it is our responsibility as Believers/Kingdom Citizens to carefully and prayerfully consider the presented candidates and where possible to seek to elect competent, godly men and women who not only have the potential to improve our national development, but who will also seek to be guided by God’s principles and establish His purposes.

The following are some facts about us as Believers that will help us maintain a Kingdom perspective during a political season.

1) As Believers, we are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven and therefore foreigners in this earthly realm.

2) Our spiritual citizenship in God’s Kingdom is higher than, and therefore takes precedence over our earthly citizenship, i.e., our Bahamian citizenship.

3) As citizens of the Kingdom of God, our ultimate allegiance, or loyalty is to be to God as our Sovereign King.

4) The Constitution of our Kingdom is the Word of God, therefore we are to govern every aspect of our lives according to the principles contained therein. The Word of God is our supreme law and we are to obey it above all others.

5) As Kingdom Citizens, we have been appointed as ambassadors of the King. We live in the country that we do because He has called us to be His representatives/agents in that particular earthly territory.

6) As Kingdom Ambassadors, we relinquish all rights to present and act on our own personal opinions. The only position we are to take on an issue is that of our Government or King. We are to yield to and uphold the position of the King and to readily advance His Kingdom’s agenda in whichever arena or capacity we may function.

7) As Kingdom Ambassadors, our main mission is to make disciples of all nations and to expand God’s Kingdom on the earth. The cause of Christ is what we ought to live for and what we should be prepared to die for.

People of God, during this election season, more than ever before, we need to be intentionally mindful not to become so caught up in the political frenzy that we become unfocused and lose sight of our Kingdom responsibility and allow someone or something other than God to decide our involvement in the electoral process.

Because it’s election time, there is an abundance of voices in the atmosphere vying for our attention and support, and it’s okay to hear them, but at the end of the day, as Ambassadors in a foreign territory we must settle ourselves, be sober, and listen for the voice of our King…for His opinion, His desire, His instruction.

In John 10:27, Jesus, our King, and Sovereign Ruler states,My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me.” – (NIV-1984)

Jesus is our master mentor and one thing that stands out in His life is His obedience to the Father.

In John 5:30 He states, “I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord-but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.– (Amplified Bible)

SELAH!

God desires us to seek His will regarding our voting decision and to vote for the person He confirms in our spirit as the candidate to vote for.

Remember, as Kingdom Ambassadors, the only position we are to take on an issue or matter is that of our Government or King…it’s tight, but it’s right!

If the Lord leads you to vote for the candidate that you in and of yourself want to vote for, great!

But what if this is not the case?

What if He leads you to vote for someone who you do not want to support?

  • What if as a diehard PLP you distinctly and unmistakably sense Him telling you to vote for the FNM candidate?
  • What if as a diehard FNM you distinctly and unmistakably sense Him telling you to vote for the DNA candidate?
  • Or, what if you are a diehard DNA and you distinctly and unmistakably sense Him telling you to vote for the PLP?

WHOSE VOICE WILL YOU FOLLOW?

Remember, as Kingdom Citizens and Ambassadors, our allegiance is to be to the King and not to any party, organization or man.

Saints, many claim to be “the man with the plan” but in reality, only God knows what is best for our nation because He alone knows the past, present and future so the bottom line is it is best to go with His leading; it’s best to go with Him.

Isaiah 30:1-3 states, “Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the LORD, “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; who go down to Egypt without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection, to Egypt’s shade for refuge. But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame, Egypt’s shade will bring you disgrace.” – (NIV-1984)

IT’S ELECTION TIME! – WHOSE VOICE WILL YOU FOLLOW THIS POLITICAL SEASON?

THE VOICE OF MAN?

YOUR VOICE?

OR

THE VOICE OF THE LORD?

I pray that in this 2017 election, Believers/Kingdom Citizens in the Bahamas will be sober and spiritually discerning and have the wisdom to seek the Lord re who to vote for, and once revealed, by God’s grace have the spiritual fortitude to obey and mark his/her “X” wherever the Lord says, trusting in His wisdom, sovereignty and power and not in man’s words.

“Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.”

(Psalms 46:3 – NIV-1984)

“It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.”

(Psalms 118:8 – NIV-1984)

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

(Proverbs 3:5, 6 – NIV-1984)

WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?

WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?

WELL-DRESSED MEN?

WELL-DRESSED MEN?

WELL DRESSED WOMEN?

WELL-DRESSED WOMEN?

What Are You Wearing?

As people of God, it’s amazing how we can be so concerned about what we wear physically, yet not be as concerned about our spiritual clothing.

On a daily basis, we look at our natural clothing and decide what we will wear. It is not even unusual for us to find out the dress code of special events then go to great lengths to prepare in advance what we will wear to make sure that we go “looking right”.

But do we do the same with our spiritual clothing?

Are you as concerned about your spiritual wardrobe as you are about your natural wardrobe?

When you plan what you will wear each day, is your plan inclusive of what you will be wearing spiritually, or is it limited to the clothes in your closet?

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be concerned about our physical appearance and clothing.

However, as people of God, we need to beware that our concern for our natural clothing does not take precedence over our concern for what we are wearing in the spirit and that is, therefore radiating from our being.

God is far more concerned about how we’re dressed in the spirit than how we’re dressed in the natural.

As a matter of fact, He’s so concerned that He has provided some specially designed spiritual clothing for us and actually instructs us to take off the old clothing that we came into the Kingdom wearing and to put on these new garments that are now available for us.

So, what are some of the old garments that God instructs us to put off? What are some of the things that many of us came into the Kingdom wearing that we need to get rid of?

Colossians 3:8 (KJV) tells us to, “Put off anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, and filthy communication out of our mouths”.

Are you still wearing any of these?

Well if you are, it is time to update your spiritual wardrobe.

Think about it.

What good is it if we are all dressed up and accessorized in the natural, perhaps even with fragrant perfume and cologne on too, yet get angry or vexed and fly off into a rage for every little thing, have a nasty attitude, harbor unforgiveness, have bad and depraved ways, are mean, proud, unloving, speak evil about others and even God, and have filthy communication coming out of our mouths?

What good is it for us to be dressed up and “stylin” in the natural, yet “raggedy” in the spirit? – How profitable is that?

The answer is – not profitable at all!

As a matter of fact, if at any time this profile depicts you or me in any way, even though we may think that we look good and are well-dressed because our bodies are adorned in the latest styles and fashion, as far as God is concerned we simply look like ragamuffins – SELAH!

So then, what are some of the new garments that God has designed and made available for us to wear?

Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV) tells us: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

In God’s eyes, when we put on mercy, compassion, kindness, humbleness, meekness, longsuffering, forgiveness and love, then we are well-dressed.

In His eyes, when we step out in these spiritual garments, no matter how plain, out of style, simple, old or tattered our natural garments may be, we are “well-dressed”, “elegant”, “dapper”, “looking sharp”…we are “saying something”.

So, Kingdom Ambassador, What are you wearing?

Are you still in those old-fashioned, outdated clothes from the other kingdom, or are you adorned in new garments made especially for you by our King?

Remember, what we wear spiritually overshadows what we wear physically.

Even if clothed well physically, if we’re not clothed well spiritually, we are not truly well-dressed.

When dressing each day, let’s reach into the King’s closet first and put on the garments that He has provided for us, then move on and select our natural clothing.

If we do this, we will unquestionably be well-dressed.

What are you wearing?

Shalom!

Kim

WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS – WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?

WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS – WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?

WORLD CRISIS

“WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS”

WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS

world crisis abounds

fear, panic and worry everywhere

resting, hoping, and trusting in God the King

When I look at the instability of the kingdoms and nations of this world and its leaders, I am more grateful than ever to be a part of God’s Kingdom.

A Kingdom that is unshakable, a Kingdom that has no end, a Kingdom whose citizens span every race, nation, societal level and color, a Kingdom whose King is our Great and Mighty and Matchless God.

Who is like our God?  – Who can withstand Him, who can defy Him, who can counsel Him, who can thwart His purposes, who can undo what He has decreed, who can open what He shuts, who can shut what He opens – who is like our God?

Our God is Great, Mighty and Matchless!

“Remember [carefully] the former things [which I did] from ages past;For I am God, and there is no one else;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,
Declaring the end and the result from the beginning,
And from ancient times the things which have not [yet] been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,
And I will do all that pleases Me and fulfills My purpose”

(Isaiah 46:9, 10 – AMP)

“HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD” –  (WORLD EDITION)

FEAT. CHRIS TOMLIN

“Great is our [majestic and mighty] Lord and abundant in strength;
His understanding is inexhaustible [infinite, boundless].”

(Psalms 147:5 – AMP)

“There is none like You, O Lord;
You are great, and great is Your mighty and powerful name.
Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?
For it is appropriate and it is Your due!
For among all the wise men of the nations
And in all their kingdoms,
There is none like You.”

(Jeremiah 10:6,7 – AMP)

In the face of all the crisis that abounds in our world today, know that we serve a Great God and are citizens of a Great Kingdom.

This is the truth that we must hold fast to.

This is the truth that will anchor our souls.

Our focus on this truth or lack thereof will determine our level of peace or fear.

Our focus on this truth or lack thereof will determine whether we walk on the tumultuous waters of our times or sink in them.

If we keep our eyes on the reality of the Greatness of our God, and on the fact that He is King over all, and on the fact that we belong to His Kingdom which rules over all, we will have more peace and be water walkers, but if we allow our focus to shift onto the crisis that abounds in this world and onto the instability of its leaders, we will have more fear and sink.

Selah!

Where will your focus be?

Will it be on God and His Kingdom or on world leaders and the abounding worldwide crisis?

Today God says:

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

(Psalms 46:10 – NIV, 1984)

Be encouraged,

Kim

“The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].”

(Psalms 103:19 – AMP)

“Your kingdom is a kingdom eternal; you never get voted out of office. God always does what he says, and is gracious in everything he does.”

(Psalms 145:13 – MSG)

“God reigns over the nations;
God sits on His holy throne.”

(Psalms 47:8 – NKJV)

“Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

(I Timothy 1:17 – KJV)

“You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever,
For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”

(Isaiah 26:3, 4 – NIV, 1984)

“God is our refuge and strength,
 an ever-present help in trouble.”

(Psalms 46:1 – NIV, 1984)

WANTED: MIGHTY MEN & WOMEN OF VALOR

WANTED: MIGHTY MEN & WOMEN OF VALOR

Do you know that God has called you to a task or assignment but you feel inadequate and unqualified?

I received the following prophetic word by Elaine Tavolacci this morning via my subscription to her website, http://www.awordinseason.info. which I believe will be a timely word for you, and as such, am re-blogging it with her permission.

CALLING MIGHTY MEN AND WOMEN OF VALOR

CALLING MIGHTY MEN AND WOMEN OF VALOR

November 12, 2016

WANTED: MIGHTY MEN & WOMEN OF VALOR

Elaine Tavolacci

In the natural it may appear as if the churches are dwindling down in membership, Christian friends are falling away, great men and women of God are passing away, and believers are declining in number. But the truth is, that God has a remnant that He has chosen for His end time army to usher in the greatest harvest in history. The fields are white unto harvest and it is about time that we take our place in what we have been called to do. Many of you feel inadequate, unqualified, or uneducated to be used by God.

There was a man in the bible named Gideon who was fearful and weak in his own sight, but mighty in the eyes of God. The name Gideon means “Mighty warrior”. Gideon was called to deliver Israel from the Midianites, but one day Gideon was hiding as they were attacking Israel. God had sent an angel to him saying, “The Lord is with you, mighty man of valor”. Gideon replied with a question, if the Lord is with us, why did all these terrible things happen? The Lord responded, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man. After this encounter with the angel, Gideon went and rescued Israel from the enemy with an army which the Lord had reduced from thirty two thousand men, to three hundred men. The Lord also allowed Gideon to see into the enemies’ camp.

The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you are fearful and you feel as if an army is rising up against you, but Jesus calls you a mighty man/woman of valor. You will defeat every enemy that attempts to overtake you, and you will be used in a great way.

The Lord says I looking for the mighty men and women of valor. They are those who will take heed to My word, and see themselves as I have created them to be. I am calling forth My warriors who are not fearful or fainthearted. I am looking for those who will walk in faith and are not moved by adverse circumstances. They are those men and women who are willing to go to the front lines regardless of what they hear and see in the natural. They will take Me at My word as they rescue and deliver the captives. Their minds are sharp and their thinking is intuitive, therefore they are not moved by bad reports but will continue to advance into all that I have called them to do. They do not fear the unknown and are not be afraid of what lies ahead. They know that I have given them everything that they need to accomplish My purpose and plan for their life. They will not become weary as the enemy seems to be battering and relentless. As they seek My counsel, I will give them clear understanding and keen discernment. They will seek Me for wisdom and direction when they are in doubt.

I am looking for those who will not tolerate idolatry. They are those who will destroy the god of Baal and the goddess of Asherah. They will sacrifice everything for My name’s sake and they are willing to burn their bridges behind them and forget the mistakes from their past. To them I will expose the plans of the adversary. They will discern the enemies’ tactics and recognize his schemes. They will then understand the assignments that the enemy has brought against them to distract them, and remove them from their purpose and destiny. I will give them discernment to thwart the plans of the enemy over their life. This discernment that I give will bring wisdom and direction. But this discernment that I give will not come without reading My word. This discernment will not come without prayer and intimacy with Me. Store My word in your heart. In the days ahead you will look back and understand that everything that you have done was not in vain.

Though there will be armies ahead of you, I have already made a way of escape. Don’t allow your circumstances to rule your thinking, but align your thoughts with My word. Do not allow discouragement and despair to wear you down. I have created you and called you for such a time as this. Stand strong in the face of adversity and do not be confused about what you see in the natural. As you pray and believe, know that your prayers are powerful and effective. I did not call you to mediocrity but I have called you to conqueror difficult situations that arise abruptly. Submit your lives in total surrender to Me, ask of Me and I will give you the wisdom, discernment and understanding for the days ahead. Just as I sent the angel to Gideon with a message, I say the same to you, rise up you mighty man/ woman of valor and carry out the assignment that I have for you says the Lord.

Judges 6:11-12
“Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Judges 7:13-15
“Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.” His friend responded, “This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.” When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed down and worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, “Get up! The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands.”

1 Corinthians 1:26 – 29
“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.”

ENCOURAGEMENT TO CITIZENS OF HEAVEN RESIDING ON EARTH

ENCOURAGEMENT TO CITIZENS OF HEAVEN RESIDING ON EARTH

OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN

OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN

As Believers, we are not only members of the Body of Christ, Saints, and Children of God, but according to Philippians 3:20, we are also citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven.

In the natural realm, when we are a citizen of a country, our citizenship is not transient, coming into and out of existence as we move from place to place. We remain a citizen of that country no matter where we are.

I am a citizen of the Bahamas known as a Bahamian, and I am a Bahamian no matter where I go. When in the Bahamas I am a Bahamian. If I travel to America, China or any other nation I am a Bahamian. When at home, school, work, on the beach, in the food store or driving my car, I am a Bahamian.

In the spirit realm, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, are spiritually re-born and become citizens of the Kingdom, just as our natural citizenship is not transient, coming into and out of existence as we move from place to place, neither is our spiritual citizenship in heaven transient. We remain Kingdom citizens no matter where we are physically on the earth.

Whatever country we are in, whether India, Pakistan, Brazil, Zimbabwe, the Canary Islands, or Barbados, we are Kingdom citizens and wherever we are in that country, whether in our home, place of worship, on our job, at school, in parliament, the food store or at the mall, we are Kingdom citizens.

As citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, it is important to note and remember that:

  • Our ultimate allegiance is to God as our Ruler and Sovereign King.
  • We are foreigners in this earthly realm.
  • Our spiritual citizenship in heaven is higher than, and therefore takes precedence over our earthly citizenship, e.g., Bahamian citizenship, US citizenship, Korean citizenship, etc.
  • We live in the country that we do because He has called and appointed us as His ambassadors, representatives, or agents in that particular earthly territory.
  • The Constitution of our Kingdom is the Word of God; it is our supreme law and we are to obey it above all earthly laws. No matter where we are, what we face, or who we are with, our thoughts, words, morals, values and deeds are to be aligned with and governed by, God’s purposes, plans, principles, and precepts as outlined in the Word.
  • The only position we are to take on an issue is that of our Government or King. We are to yield to and uphold the position of the King and to readily advance His Kingdom’s agenda in whichever earthly arena or capacity we may function.
  • Our main mission is to make disciples of all nations and to thereby expand the dominion of the King on the earth. The cause of Christ is what we live for and what we are to be prepared to die for.

We are in an age of increasing opposition from the world system, the flesh, and the devil, and  the cost of living as God desires is rising.

Globally these forces seem to be raging as never before to change, undermine, and if possible eradicate the fundamental tenets, standards, principles, and doctrines of the Word of God and persons who uphold them and are committed to Jesus Christ.

In spite of this, as Kingdom Citizens, and keeping in mind that this earth is not our home, may we, by the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit, make it our practice to submit to what God as our Sovereign King desires, approves of, and/or wants to accomplish in every situation and circumstance we encounter.

It is to Him, our Sovereign Ruler that we must give an account……may His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I wrote the following post in December of 2012, re-posted it last February and in light of the rising global trend of humans legislating what is right in their own eyes as opposed to what is right in God’s eyes, I thought it would be good to post it again…..be challenged and be blessed!

GOD’S LAW VS. HUMAN LAW

GOD'S LAW SHALL PREVAIL

“GOD’S LAW SHALL PREVAIL”

If God’s Law declares something to be wrong,

no human legislation can make it right.

A popular or majority vote means nothing in the eyes of God.

If every human being on this planet votes in favor of an activity or behavior deemed wrong by God,

and every nation of the earth passes laws to support the same,

in God’s eyes, that activity or behavior is still wrong and He will judge it accordingly.

Be not deceived.

No matter what man declares as right,

if God says it is wrong, it is wrong.

SELAH!

As we seek to live out our faith in these last days, let’s keep in mind that as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, God is our Sovereign King, His Word is our Supreme authority, and we are only temporarily residing on this earth so we need to be sober, alert, walk circumspectly and be careful not to allow ourselves to get entangled in earthly affairs, to our spiritual detriment.

“Brothers and sisters, together follow my example and observe those who live by the pattern we gave you. For there are many, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, who live as enemies of the cross of Christ [rejecting and opposing His way of salvation], whose fate is destruction, whose god is their belly [their worldly appetite, their sensuality, their vanity], and whose glory is in their shame—who focus their mind on earthly and temporal things. But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself, will [not only] transform [but completely refashion] our earthly bodies so that they will be like His glorious resurrected body.”

(Philippians 3:17-21 – Amplified Bible)

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges [those dishonorable desires] that wage war against the soul. Keep your behavior excellent among the [unsaved] Gentiles [conduct yourself honorably, with graciousness and integrity], so that for whatever reason they may slander you as evildoers, yet by observing your good deeds they may [instead come to] glorify God in the day of visitation [when He looks upon them with mercy].”

(1 Peter 2:11-12 – Amplified Bible)

“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.”

(Psalms 119:89 – KJV)

“Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.”

(Psalms 119:152 – KJV)

“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

(Psalms 119:160 – KJV)

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

(Matthew 24:35 – KJV)

Be encouraged,

Kim

WORRIED ABOUT YOUR FUTURE?

WORRIED ABOUT YOUR FUTURE?

bird2

“I DON’T WORRY……….WHY DO YOU?”

Worry – “To torment oneself with or suffer from disturbing thoughts; fret; to torment with cares, anxieties etc.”

Why do you sit here and worry about your future?

Why do you wonder how you are going to make it?

Have you lost sight of who I AM?

Am I not God?

Did I not step out on nothingness, speak into nothingness and create all things?

Can any circumstance be larger than my potential?

Why do you sit here and worry about your future?

Why do you wonder how you’re going to make it?

Am I not your Father?

Do I not love you?

Do you think I sent my Son to die for you then just leave you helpless?

Has there ever been a time when I did not meet your needs?

Why do you sit here and worry about your future?

Why do you wonder how you’re going to make it?

Do I not take care of the flowers, grass and birds who mean far less to Me?

Do you not understand that everything in this earth realm belongs to Me, it is all Mine?

Have I ever neglected you in the past?

Is the future not in my hands?

Why do you sit here and worry about your future?

Why do you wonder how you’re going to make it?

Still your mind and have faith in Me.

Still your emotions and trust in Me.

Position yourself to hear then obey Me.

Seek first My Kingdom and righteousness and I will add to your life all that you need.

Why do you sit here and worry about your future?

Why do you wonder how you’re going to make it?

SELAH!

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

(Jeremiah 32:27 – NIV)

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

(Matthew 6:25-34 – Amplified Bible)

“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”

(PROVERBS 3:3-6 – Amplified Bible)

“ACTS CHAPTER TWO – AWAKENING IN THE PEW”

“ACTS CHAPTER TWO – AWAKENING IN THE PEW”

By Elaine Tavolacci

ARE YOU IN THE CREW?

ARE YOU IN THE CREW?

I received the following prophetic word by Elaine Tavolacci this morning via my subscription to her website, http://www.awordinseason.info.

I believe that it will encourage those who believe and identify with what is said as evidenced by the quickening of their spirit, so I am re-blogging it with her permission.

There is a lot more to the Church/Body of Christ than what is presently perceived and it will be revealed and manifested in God’s set time before Christ’s return.

Blessings,

Kim

WORD FOR 2016

“ACTS CHAPTER TWO – AWAKENING IN THE PEW”

By Elaine Tavolacci

The past week as I inquired of the Lord concerning the coming year of 2016, The Holy Spirit gave me this word. He showed me a giant who had been lulled to sleep, battle weary, bruised and broken. This giant was burdened down by the cares of the world, misfortunes and sickness. Then I asked the Lord, who is this sleeping giant? Is it the enemy? He then showed me that this sleeping giant represented the body of Christ. Numerous Christians have endured horrendous trials the past year but they don’t realize that they are a giant who is about to be “awakened”.

The book of Acts chapter two speaks about how the Holy Spirit came into the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost when 120 people were gathered together in prayer and in one accord. There was a sound as a mighty rushing wind, tongues of fire appeared on each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The onlookers mocked them saying that they were drunk with new wine, but Peter stood up and said, they are not drunk as you suppose but this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel.

The Lord says; The sleeping giant is about to awaken once again. I am about to pour out my new wine in abundance. In this day of great acceleration, many of you will advance expeditiously into what you were called to do. Do not fear the shifting and the shaking as these things are necessary for My plans and purposes to come to pass. Every opposition that arises is an opportunity to come to a higher place, and every challenge that you overcome will bring you to another level. I am awaking My people with a zeal that will be rekindled, their strength will be restored and their relationship with Me will be renewed.

As you pray in one accord, you will cultivate an atmosphere of My presence that will transform the spiritual atmosphere around you. As you worship together I will open up the floodgates and you will be immersed in My tangible presence.

In this great awakening, the men and woman who are mature in their walk with Me will teach, nurture and mentor those who are coming into the kingdom. I am calling those of you who know Me to train, encourage and support them. I will raise up those who have been delivered from the strongholds of the enemy to strengthen the younger ones in their faith.

I will awaken those who I have called to be as Moses. They will raise up Joshuas to train men to be strong and very courageous. They will train them in leadership and to be tenacious in spiritual warfare. They will teach them how to be more than conqueror’s in every battle. They will encourage them to pursue the plan and calling on their lives and never retreat in battle.

I will awaken the Naomi’s to train up the young Ruth’s. These are godly women who will comfort and teach the younger woman how to live a lifestyle of integrity, sincerity and respect. They will teach them how to walk in humility, wisdom and honor in their relationships. They will teach them how to be submitted to their husbands rather than being enslaved by them.

I will awaken the Elijahs to train and raise up Elishas with a double portion of their spirit. They will train the young prophets and teach them how to be used in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They will show them how to follow in their footsteps and be used in miracles, signs and wonders with respect and reverence of the mighty anointing on their lives.

I will awaken the Paul’s to train up young Timothy’s in prayer. They will prepare them how to live godly lifestyles, show them how to refrain from sinful ways, how to walk authority but in the fear and admonition of the Lord. They will train them on how to be strong in what they believe, fan the flames and stir up the gifts that were given to them. They will warn them against false teachings and false prophets, and show them how to endure hardness as good soldiers. They will encourage them not to be ashamed of the gospel.

In this awakening, those who are timid will become bold as lions. There will be wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth below and My light will shine out of the darkness. Stand firm as you feel the ground shaking beneath you because the days of the latter and former rain of My glory are on the horizon says the Lord.

Joel 2:23-24
“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God; for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you -The former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.”

Joel 2:28
“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”

Acts 2: 1-4
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Acts 2:17-21
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

SEASONS CHANGE

SEASONS CHANGE

WHAT SEASON ARE YOU IN?

WHAT SEASON ARE YOU IN?

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven”

(Ecclesiastes 3:1 – KJV)

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew meaning of the word “season” in this verse is “an appointed occasion”.

This means that the verse can read, “To everything there is an appointed occasion, and a time for every purpose under the heaven.”

There are many different seasons that we may encounter in a lifetime.

Seasons of war and seasons of peace.

Seasons of delay and seasons of acceleration.

Seasons of separation and seasons of connection.

Seasons of being exposed and seasons of being hidden.

Seasons of sowing and seasons of reaping.

Seasons of barrenness and seasons of fruitfulness.

Seasons of pressing on and seasons of holding back

Seasons of ease and seasons of effort.

Seasons of birth and seasons of death

Sometimes in His divine wisdom, God ordains seasons for our lives that we find, uncomfortable, unfavorable, inconvenient, painful, or experience in some other negative way.

When you find your self in such a season, how do you respond?

Do you:

a) Murmur, grumble, complain, get angry and bitter with God, argue with Him, try to escape into another season, or try to re-define your season according to your own desires?

or

b) Humbly and graciously accept your season as being from the sovereign hand of your all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful and loving Father and ask Him to grant you all that you need to pass through the season in a way that is pleasing to Him and that accomplishes all that He desires to do in and through you at the given point in time?

or

c) Begin at a) and as time proceeds, melt into b).

Sometimes in life we may find ourselves tossed into nerve-wracking, painful, faith-battling, wearisome seasons that seem impossible to bear.

When this happens, one way that we can avoid a lot of unnecessary stress and possible discipline from our Father is to yield to the season He allows in our lives, knowing that He loves us, He has a plan, and is working things out for good even if we can not perceive it.

Instead of responding with anger, rebellion or in some other non-productive, or negative way, when we encounter difficult seasons, it is best to respond with humility and ask God to help us to accept these seasons and grant us the needed wisdom, grace and fortitude to work through them and come out better and not bitter on the other side.

Three (3) keys I’ve come to find very helpful in dealing with God ordained seasons in my life are:

  1. To flow and not to fight…..it is hard, wearisome and fruitless to kick against the pricks!
  2. Be content and not restless…..acceptance, not settling, but acceptance brings peace and an increased ability to hear what the Lord is requiring so I can successfully navigate through.
  3. Be grateful and not grumble…..no matter what is going on, there are always a lot of things to give God thanks for, starting with belonging to His family, having the privilege of calling Him Father, and having my name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life…..praise and be raised…..complain and remain!

If you find yourself in a difficult season today, remember that God will never put more on you than you can bear and the that the season will not last forever…..it too came to pass……seasons change.

Be blessed and encouraged by this song by Crystal Lewis, “Seasons Change”.

IN THE MIDST OF THE NOISE

IN THE MIDST OF THE NOISE

IS THE NOISE IN THIS WORLD DAMAGING YOUR ABILITY TO HEAR?

IS THE NOISE IN THIS WORLD NUMBING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSES?

Noise – “loud, confused, or senseless shouting or outcry; any sound that is undesired or interferes with one’s hearing of something; irrelevant or meaningless data or output occurring along with desired information; common talk : rumor; especially : slander; something that attracts attention; something spoken or uttered”

(Source:Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary – http://www.m-w.com

We live in a noisy world.

Political noise, economic noise, social noise, environmental noise, cultural noise, religious noise, medical noise, pharmaceutical noise, educational noise, fashion noise, entertainment noise, lifestyle noise, marketing noise, social media noise, news media noise, electronic noise, digital noise, food noise, fitness noise, traffic noise, work noise, family noise, emotional noise, mental noise…..noise, noise, noise.

It seems as if every facet of life has turned up its volume, getting louder and louder, vying for our attention, more and more every day.

In the midst of the noise there’s been a sound.

Did you hear it?

In the midst of the noise there’s been a rustling.

Did you sense it?

In the midst of the noise there’s been a shift.

Did you detect it?

In the midst of the noise there’s been a change.

Are you ready for it?

SELAH!

Father as the end draws near, help us not to let the noise of this world numb our spiritual senses. In the midst of the noise help us be sensitive to the times and seasons in which we live. In the midst of the noise help us to always be attuned to the voice of Your Spirit. In the midst of the noise help us to be ready for and obedient to whatever You require of us as your people…..in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Kim

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE

A young man at my church named Khadn ministered “I Can Only Imagine” in church yesterday and it was a blessing.

The song has been in my spirit all day so I just decided to post it.

Hope it blesses you.

“I CAN ONLY IMAGINE” – BY MERCYME

“Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.
In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.
And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.”
