Say It and Be Free

“Open rebuke is better than love that is hidden”

 – Proverbs 27:5 –

This post is not for everyone, but it is for someone.

It is for a person who the Lord has told to confront a particular individual  in your life about a specific situation but you keep putting it off because you fear what you believe the consequences will be if you tell the individual what God has placed on your heart to say.

Whenever you come in contact with the individual or the Holy Spirit prompts you to seek them out and say what God has told you to say, you become intimidated and push the very thought of confronting them down into the far recesses of your mind hoping it would stay there, but it doesn’t, it always resurfaces making the entire situation a continuous undercurrent of inner torment within your soul.

I don’t know you, your situation, the degree of your fear, or what the individual’s response may be should you tell them what the Lord has placed on your heart to say, but based on the Word, there are some things that I do know.

I do know that God loves you. (John 3:16, I John 4:9-11)

I know that He in His wisdom understands more about your situation than you do and that His plans are not to harm you but to do you good. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I know that the fear that you experience at even the thought of approaching the individual is not of God because He has not given us a spirit of fear (I Timothy 1:7); I believe that it is satan’s strategy to stop you from obeying God because he knows that your obedience will bring a needed breakthrough in your life.

I know that God will never ask you to do anything that He has not already empowered you to do so you can approach this individual and tell them what God has placed on your heart; you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13); do you believe this?

I also know that this post was distinctly impressed upon my heart by the Lord just to help and encourage you in your situation.

So, are you willing to go beyond your thoughts, feelings and assumptions and press in to the truth of the Word?

Are you willing to trust God and take the required leap of faith and do what He is telling you to do, even if you have to do it trembling?

How badly do you really want freedom from this nagging torment and inner peace once again?

Today, know and believe that God’s grace is more than sufficient for you to go ahead and boldly confront the individual in a spirit of truth and love, speaking all that He has placed on your heart to say.

I encourage you to say it and be free.

“He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than he who flatters with the tongue”.
