Important Kingdom Truths

(Genesis 1-3)

God created man in His own image and likeness and His original plan was to rule the visible world through the spirit of man that He put in a physical body on the earth.

God intended for man to exercise His authority and dominion as a corporate entity on earth, displaying His power, wisdom, influence and glory.  He intended for man to have a relationship with Him and be subjected only to His Spirit, which would rule in their hearts and thus enable the establishment of His government/system of rulership on earth just as it is in heaven.

God appointed us to rule, govern, control and influence the earthly territory in accordance with His instructions, i.e., by His delegated authority.

In Genesis 2:17 – God said if man ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would surely die – he ate so he died, but it was not a physical death, but a spiritual death – his spirit man died, i.e., it became separated from God.

Because man sinned and his spirit man died, man no longer had a relationship with God and was therefore no longer in a state or position whereby he could rule and have dominion over the earth in the way that God intended him to.

There was no more access by God’s Spirit to man’s spirit for God to rule in his heart and for him to thereby establish His government on earth.

From the scriptures in Genesis we also see that this was not a problem for God, the King of the universe, the omnipotent, omniscient one, because even though this had happened, He had a plan from before the foundation of the world to rectify the situation and have His purposes fulfilled.

The key was in sending His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to save mankind from their sins and in doing so to redeem them back unto Himself, once again making them righteous; once again putting them back in right standing or right relationship with him as it was before the fall in the Garden of Eden.

By making a way for mankind’s reconciliation to Him through Christ, God made a way for the accomplishment of His original plan because He:-

a) Made a way for man to once again have a relationship with Him, or right positioning with Him (righteousness).

b) Made a way for mankind to exercise the authority that He had delegated to them to rule/have dominion over the earth according to His methods.

By sending Jesus Christ, the anointed one and His anointing, to redeem mankind, God repositioned man to rule or have dominion over the earth according to His original authorized agenda, the agenda of the Kingdom of God.

God essentially paved the way for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven and He decided that He would do this in two main phases:-

1) By His Son first coming and through salvation and redemption setting up a Kingdom in the hearts of men and ruling and reigning in their hearts thereby enabling them to have dominion on the earth according to his divine plan – according to His Kingdom’s agenda.

2) Then by having His Son return to the earth to physically preside over the process as King of kings, at which time the total fulfillment and manifestation of God’s Kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven would occur.

Daniel 7:27(This the last part of the interpretation of a vision Daniel had of the end of the age)

“Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven (on earth) will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High.  His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.”

Romans 8:16, 17

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God, and co-heirs (joint heirs, participants in common, heirs together) with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

Revelation 5:9, 10

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people and nation;

And has made us unto our God kings (rule) and priests (worship/serve): and we shall reign/rule on the earth.”

The full manifestation of this rulership is yet to come, but we know from the scriptures that it will.  The Bible, the Word, is the infallible voice of God and whatever He speaks is already established.  Whatever He says will happen can be considered done.  Even though its manifestation may not come until somewhere in the future, we can speak of it as an accomplished fact.

Saints we know the end so we need to be in full gear now, preparing ourselves by living in line with the Kingdom’s constitution, the Bible, the Word of God.  Our minds need to be renewed, made new again, made like how they were prior to the fall so that we as citizens of His Kingdom can live and rule according to His agenda.

For this to happen, we must be re-filled with the light of His truth. Our moral and spiritual vision and thinking needs to be re-adjusted to that of the mind of God as found in His Word and our behavior/conduct needs to follow suit.  In other words, we must be re-equipped as agents of God’s delegated authority on the earth.

To this end, Christ/the Word and the Holy Spirit is working in and among us Believers/the Body of Christ/citizens of His Kingdom today, to renew our minds, change our behavior and prepare us to reign with Him eternally.

Father may we wholeheartedly submit to this renewal process and may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Amen and Amen.

Be encouraged!
