TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED

“TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED”

Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a city and spend a year there and carry on our business and make money.

Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow. What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor (a puff of smoke, a mist) that is visible for a little while and then disappears [into thin air].

YOUR LIFE IS BUT A VAPOR

“YOUR LIFE IS BUT A VAPOR”

You ought instead to say, If the Lord is willing, we shall live and we shall do this or that [thing].

But as it is, you boast [falsely] in your presumption and your self-conceit. All such boasting is wrong.”

(James 4:13-16, Amplified Bible)

SELAH!

  1. Very good verse! It’s even more meaningful for me today since I got hit by a car when I was riding my scooter to church today. I wasn’t hurt, although my scooter got a bit beat up, but it could have been much worse. Praise the Lord that he’s with us in good and bad.

  2. Wow David, I thank the Lord for His divine protection upon your life……that must have been pretty frightening. Life is so uncertain and fragile….. we never know what each day may bring, but I thank God that in the midst of it all we can rest, lean, depend and rely upon the Lord to be with us and see us through any circumstance and that makes all the difference……praise His Name!
