IF YOU LOOK TO PEOPLE

IF YOU LOOK TO PEOPLE

'DON'T LOOK TO PEOPLE, LOOK TO GOD"

“DON’T LOOK TO PEOPLE, LOOK TO GOD”

If you look to people to be what only God can be in your life,

you will be disappointed.

If you look to people to do what only God can do in your life,

you will be disappointed.

If you look to people to solve what only God can solve in your life,

you will be disappointed.

If you look to people to change what only God can change in your life,

you will be disappointed.

If you look to people to fill what only God can fill in your life,

you will be disappointed.

If you look to people to ease what only God can ease in  your life,

you will be disappointed.

If you look to people to heal what only God can heal in your life,

you will be disappointed.

So don’t look to people,

Look to God.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

(Psalms 118:8 – NIV, 1984)

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.”

(Jeremiah 17:5 – NIV, 1984)

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

(I Chronicles 16:11 – NIV, 1984)

Be encouraged!

  1. I think the over emphasis on romantic love in music and movies is an attempt at that. Some of the language they use (e.g. “you’re worth more to me than life itself”) isn’t really appropriate to say about another human being.

  2. Yes David, I agree. If you look and listen carefully, there is a message released across the earth that encourages people to look to other human beings, including themselves, for answers or solutions to their situations or needs and the sad part is that many Believers are being deceptively drawn into it when the Bible clearly tells us to seek the Lord and to call upon Him. Yes God may choose to provide an answer or meet a need through another human being but we are to look to Him as our source and not to people.
