DO YOU TREAT YOUR VEHICLE BETTER THAN YOU TREAT YOURSELF?

DO YOU TREAT YOUR VEHICLE BETTER THAN YOU TREAT YOURSELF?

DO YOU GO TO YOUR MANUFACTURER WHEN YOUHAVE A LIFE ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED?

DO YOU GO TO YOUR MANUFACTURER WHEN YOU HAVE A LIFE ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED?

If you own a Toyota vehicle and needed to find out how best to operate it, would you consult a Honda operating manual?

Of course not!

Why?

Because you know that in order to find out how best to operate your Toyota, you would need to consult the manual written specifically for it by its manufacturer, Toyota, and not one written by another manufacturer for another vehicle.

How dumb not so smart would it be for me or you to consult an operating manual for another vehicle instead of the manual specifically written by the manufacturer of the vehicle that we wanted to find out how best to operate? – Very dumb not so smart.

If we would not do this with our vehicles, why do we find it so easy to do it with ourselves?

If you owned a Ford, and something went wrong with it, would you take it to a BMW dealership?

Definitely not.

Why?

Because Ford is the company that made your vehicle, not BMW, so Ford would be the one best able to diagnose and advise on how to resolve the issue simply because they made it.

How dumb not so smart would it be for me or you to take a vehicle to a dealership that did not make it to be fixed? – Very dumb not so smart.

If we would not do this with our vehicles, why do we find it so easy to do it with ourselves?

What do I mean?

Who made/manufactured you?

God.

So considering this, if you want to find out how best to operate as a person in life, doesn’t it make sense to consult His operating manual written for you – the Bible?

Of course!

Since this is the case, the question we need to ask ourselves is, do I readily consult “operating manuals”, i.e., sources of information written or produced by others about how best to operate as a person in life instead of prioritizing consulting The Operating Manual, the Bible, given to me by my Maker, God Himself.

Selah!

And if something goes wrong with you, doesn’t it make sense to go to God for counsel and direction since He is the One who made you, knows you and is therefore best able to diagnose and advise you on how to resolve the issue because He is your Maker/Manufacturer?

Naturally!

Since this is the case, the question we need to ask ourselves is, do I automatically run to other sources when something goes wrong with me, as opposed to going to God, my Maker/Manufacturer first since He knows all about me?

Selah!

Remember, saints, God is our Maker/Manufacturer and the Bible is our operating Manual so let’s prioritize consulting them for matters pertaining to our lives.

Let’s not treat our vehicles better than we treat ourselves.

Amen!

Be encouraged!

Kim

“God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

(Genesis 1:26-27 – Amplified Bible)

“Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action)..”

(II Timothy 3:16 – Amplified Bible)

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”

(James 1:5-6 – NKJV)
