WHOSE LIFE ARE YOU LIVING?
Whose life are you living? I’ll ask again, whose life are you living? Before you respond, stop and think about it. Whose life are you living? Whose life are you really living?
Are you living the life God has for you, a life in line with His plans, principles, purposes, values, and the desires He has placed in your heart?
Or, are you living the life a person or group has for you, a life in line with their plans, principles, purposes, values, and desires…..perhaps a parent, grandparent, sibling, spouse, significant other, friend, teacher, pastor, counselor, boss, author, musical artist, celebrity or some other person you respect and admire.….perhaps your family, church, colleagues at work, an organization, club, sports team, sorority, masonic lodge, or gang?
Or are you living the life you have for yourself, a life in line with your plans, your principles, your purposes, your values, and your desires, a life based on self, inclusive of God only to the degree He fits in with what you want and what feels good to you?
Whose life are you living?
Are you living the life God has for you, are you living the life a person or group has for you or are you living the life you have for yourself?
Whose life are you living? If you’re not doing so, today I challenge you to aspire to live the life God has for you for it is indeed the best life you could ever live.
It may not be the most popular life, it may not be the easiest life, it may not look or feel good at times, it may take you through some rough terrain, fire and deep water every now and again, and sometimes it may not even make sense or feel fair to you, but you can rest assured it is the best life you could ever live because it is crafted for you by your Father, the One who knew you before He formed you in your mother’s womb, the One who loves you with an everlasting love, the One who in His sovereign wisdom knows what is best for you, the One who at the end of time you will have to give an account for your life to.
Moving forward, make the decision to live the life God has for you. It is the life that holds the fulfillment you long for, it is the life that holds the maximization of your God-given potential, it is the life that holds your peace and your eternal reward. Be encouraged! Kim
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:5 – Amplified Bible)
“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”
(Jeremiah 29:11 – Amplified Bible)
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
(Ephesians 2:10 – Amplified Bible)
“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”
(Romans 12:1-2 – Amplified Bible)
