WHAT IS IT REALLY?

WHAT IS IT REALLY?

THE LORD KNOWS WHAT IT REALLY IS ON THE INSIDE OF US

THE LORD KNOWS WHAT IT REALLY IS ON THE INSIDE OF US

Sometimes we do not label, define or call certain attitudes, emotions or behaviors what they actually are.

Instead to make them more palatable, acceptable and to help us feel more comfortable about having them, or to minimize or even eliminate conviction, accountability and the necessity of change, we call them something “similar” yet “different”.

When dealing with situations, it is prudent to ask ourselves, what is it really?

WHAT IS IT REALLY?

NEED OR GREED?

LOVE OR LUST?

LISTENING OR HEARING?

CONCERN OR CONTROL?

PROTECTION OR UNABATED FEAR?

ADMIRATION OR IDOLIZATION?

ASPIRATION OR COVETOUSNESS?

REPENTANCE OR GUILT OFFERING?

OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF HEART OR FROM AN ULTERIOR MOTIVE?

FOR MY SAKE OR FOR YOUR SAKE?

WHAT IS IT REALLY?

Sometimes we do not label, define or call certain attitudes, emotions or behaviors what they actually are.

Instead to make them more palatable, acceptable and to help us feel more comfortable about having them, or to minimize or even eliminate conviction, accountability and the necessity of change, we call them something “similar” yet “different”.

When dealing with situations, it is prudent to ask ourselves, what is it really?….then with the help of the Lord make the appropriate adjustments.

  1. Great post, Kim. This is something I have always tried to do: be totally honest with myself. It sounds easier than it is sometimes. It’s surprisingly easy to deceive yourself about things that you don’t want to admit.

  2. Hi David… Thank you….so do I and that is so true about it being easy to deceive yourself, especially in situations where we really desire something or really do not want something….because the Word tells us in Jeremiah that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked – who can know it?, I often ask the Hoky Spirit to reveal to me what is really going on inside… that really helps.

  3. Hi Bernadette…. Thank you, and yes it is much food for thought for us all, especially during this time…. Thank God for the revealing power of His Holy Spirit and for His divine power to enable us to make needed adjustments…. Blessings to you and yours!….:)
