If you listen in the spirit you will hear a sound,

The blood of our young men is crying from the ground,

Fatally wounded by wielded guns and knives,

What a senseless horror, what a tragic loss of lives.

Busting out your house like a runner in a race,

One thing in your heart, a life to be erased,

You’re all out of order and you’re way overboard,

Because in The Book it’s written that vengeance is the Lord’s.

Young men wake up the devil has you blind,

He’s working your emotions and messing with your minds,

He’s telling you you’re all that by taking someone out,

He’s dishing you the lie that violence gives you clout.

But there’s a Day coming that we all will have to face,

No matter what our age, creed, color, or race,

The blood will cry out louder and all shall come to light,

Watcha gonna do then with all your so-called might?

If you listen in the spirit you will hear a sound,

The blood of our young men is crying from the ground,

Murder in our nation is unquestionably off the chart,

Don’t sit, blame and point fingers, but find and do your part.

“And Cain said to his brother, Let us go out to the field. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

And the Lord said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?

And [the Lord] said, What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.

And now you are cursed by reason of the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s [shed] blood from your hand.”

(Genesis 4:8-11 – Amplified Bible)

“You shall not commit murder.”

(Exodus 20:13 – Amplified Bible)

“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”

(Hebrews 9:27, 28 NIV)

“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.”

(Revelation 20:11-12 – NIV)
