DON’T FIGHT THE PROCESS – LET GOD RE-MAKE YOU

]

THE MASTER POTTER

By Elaine Tavolacci

March 4, 2017

The Holy Spirit showed me a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel. The potter began to spin the wheel as he molded and shaped the piece of clay as he formed it. When making pottery on a potter’s wheel, the clay has to first be centered, then water is applied before the potter begins his creation. The potter then shapes the clay into the image that he desires. There are different wheels used to create different vessels. The Lord has designed each one of us in a distinct way with a specific calling. Each person is created for a unique purpose and plan.

The Lord told Jeremiah to go down to the Potters house to give him a prophetic illustration. When he went, he had seen the potter making something at the wheel. The clay vessel that the potter had made was marred in his hands; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Many people don’t understand the process of the potter’s wheel. The potter’s wheel is not to judge us or punish us, but it is to form us into the masterpiece that Jesus has created us to be.

The Lord says; just as the potter designs each clay pot into different shapes and sizes, I have designed and created every individual. Every person has been born with a unique purpose and plan. Each of you have been strategically designed for a particular purpose, and I will work with each of you in a specific way. Do not fear the potter’s wheel and do not refuse it, for this is My workmanship. This is the place where I am molding you and conforming you into My image. This is the place where all impurities and defilement will be destroyed and all bruises and blemishes will be erased. This is the place where the rough edges will be smooth out, broken vessels will be restored and old mindsets will be dismantled. Afflictions, traumas and misfortunes from the past will be removed, and dreams will be birth and brought forth. This is the place where your mind will be renewed and you will learn to walk in integrity and maturity. This place is necessary for your spiritual growth to bring forth the gifts that I have placed on the inside of you.

Do not refuse the work on the potters wheel but allow Me to transform you as I shape your life and destiny. Trust Me when the process seems too difficult. Don’t say that this is an uncomfortable place, but know that it is for your benefit and it is necessary to bring you in to the fulfillment of My plans. Do not resist the work that I am doing on the inside of you, but allow Me to accomplish My perfect will through you. Allow Me to work with you and fashion you into My image. I Am the master potter and as you allow Me, I will design your life so that you will become all that I have created you to be. You will become a glorious vessel of honor, and others will see the brilliance of the transformed life that I am creating in you. I desire to make something beautiful out of your life as you allow Me to work in you and through you says the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Isaiah 29:16
Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made it, “He did not make me”? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.

Jeremiah 18:1-4
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:” Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.

A Word In Season – http://www.awordinseason.info.

In 2012, I came across this short video called “In the Potter’s Hands” by Pastor Steve Hill that I believe may shed some light on your perplexity and be a blessing to you.

Now be blessed by Darlene Zschech and Hillsong as they sing “The Potters Hand”

It may seem really hard sometimes, but don’t fight the process.

Let God re-make you to fit His purpose and destiny for your life.

By His grace, you can!

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 12

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 12

"SELAH - PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT"

“SELAH – PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT”

From time-to-time, I like to post quotes that I view as noteworthy.

The following was sent to me via  Whatsapp this morning by Gino Maycock, my brother in Christ and the CEO/Owner of Colonial Realty Bahamas, and I’m sharing it with his permission.

“The Lord our God has shown me in a dream that worship has just moved to an all new level. If you want to worship the Lord it will now mean you have to stand for the Kingdom of heaven against the darkness of satan and risk life now. Risk job, fame, name, wealth, the possibility of losing all the non-heavenly that we have become so accustomed to along with life. Saints prepare yourselves for a new stand and a different type of worship. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus our Christ and King.” ~ Gino Maycock

SELAH!

When I received that message, it really resonated with me because the same thing has been in my spirit re the cost of living for Christ and of true worship in these last days.

The line between the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness is becoming increasingly distinct.

As this happens, God is concurrently requiring His people to take more and more of a clear stand for Him and His Kingdom.

This stand, this bowing down of our lives to Him and His Kingdom purposes at the cost or potential cost of all else will be counted by Him as true worship for it will show His true worth-ship to us.

Selah!

What price are you prepared to pay?

What are you prepared to lose or risk losing?

Where, and in what is the true treasure of your heart?

May our hearts be willing and His grace empower us to take a stand and worship Him as He desires and indeed requires.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

(John 4:23-24 – NIV)

THREE SONGS THAT WILL BLESS YOUR SOUL

THREE SONGS THAT WILL BLESS YOUR SOUL

The first time I heard Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart’s songs was as a child in my father’s car; my father loved to listen to his album, “Some Golden Daybreak”.

I enjoyed hearing Evangelist Swaggart’s songs back then, but now, having lived and walked through and seen many other Believer’s live and walk through life’s vicissitudes, I can really appreciate and identify with the lyrics of many of them, and am truly blessed by the power and anointing upon them.

Yesterday I was listening to  a few of his songs on YouTube and decided to share three of them from his ministry.

I believe these songs will encourage you if you need reassurance that God is mindful of you and your situation, reassurance that He cares for you, and reassurance that no matter what you’ve done or are going through, His grace is sufficient for you so you can continue trusting Him through it all.

Be blessed.

TRUST GOD MORE THAN EVER IN 2017

TRUST GOD MORE THAN EVER IN 2017

"GET IN THE ZONE AND TRUST GOD"

“IT’S CRITICAL TO TRUST GOD IN 2017”

Happy New Year to all!

I did not intend to post anything today, but I feel impressed to share that this year, it is more important than ever before for us to trust God.

To trust Him, particularly concerning the following 5 areas:

1) The infallible truth of His Word…..

2) The unmatchable greatness of His power…..

3) The irrefutable goodness of His nature…..

4) His indisputable sovereignty, knowing He has the final say on all matters…….

5) His unchangeable love for you as His child…….

We have officially entered the unchartered waters of 2017 and we do not know what this year will bring, but we can make a decision today to trust God.

We can make a decision to trust Him and to show our trust by our obedience and submission to Him, and in our attitude and posture toward Him no matter what we face.

Will you make that decision today?

Will you say, Lord, by Your grace I will trust You this year?

Father, thank you for allowing us to see 2017. As we enter this new year, we declare our desire and decision to trust You and ask that You enable us to do it by Your grace, Your divine enabling power, in Jesus’ Name, amen.

“TRUST HIS HEART” – BY BABBIE MASON

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.”

(Proverbs 3:5,6 – The Message Bible)

“Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.”

(Psalms 125:1 – NKJV)

2016…..2017…..

2016 Gone

2016’s about to end…..

2017’s about to begin…..

the old is leaving…..

the new is coming…..

“this year” is becoming “last year”…..

“next year” is becoming “this year”…..

transitions……

changes…..

uncertainty…..

God remains the same….

trust Him!

He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.

You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.”

2016 MUSINGS & REFLECTIONS…..

2016 MUSINGS & REFLECTIONS

WHEN 2016 IS IVER

2016 IS ALMOST OVER

At the beginning of the year, I posted 10 totally random, but wise, musings that I felt would help you in 2016.

After reading them again this morning, I thought it would be good to re-post them for reflection and repositioning moving forward to 2017.

Be blessed!

HABITS

New Year + Old Habits = Same Results

New Year + New Habits = Different Results

What Will You Choose?

Selah!

GOALS

If you set out and fall down, fall back, or fall off, get up and start again.

Even if you have to start again 1000 times with the sound of mockers ringing in your ears, get up and start again.

Just do it!

Selah!

PEOPLE

When God wants to bless you, He will often send a person/persons into your life.

When the enemy wants to destroy you, he will often send a person/persons into your life.

Whether online or in person, be discerning of people who show up in your life and want to connect with you.

Ask God to show you the real deal.

Selah!

ATTACHMENTS & TIES

Be careful who and what you attach yourself to mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, sexually, financially or socially, particularly when you are experiencing pain or adversity.

Attachments are easily made but not as easily broken.

This is because of soul ties, unseen yet very real ties whose power, and sometimes very existence, you will never know until its time to let someone or something go, or to give someone or something up.

Be careful who and what you attach yourself to this year.

Selah!

TIME

On what, where, when, how, and with whom you spend your time tells the true story of your priorities, your character, your life.

Spend your time wisely!

Selah!

SOCIAL MEDIA

Will you use social media this year, or will social media use you?

Selah!

LEADERSHIP

“Leadership is not a position that you occupy, but an influence that you exert”. – (Unknown)

This year, be mindful of your influence.

Lead well.

Selah!

OBEDIENCE

Will you obey and please God at the expense of people or obey and please people at the expense of God?

Though hard at times because of the backlash, retaliation, verbal assassination, and negative vibes and attitudes, the former is always better than the latter.

Selah!

REJECTION

There will be rejection.

Instead of as an enemy, see rejection as a gift.

It is often through rejection that we experience isolation, and through isolation, that we better hear the voice of God and have the opportunity to experience clarity, instruction and exponential growth.

Selah!

WORSHIP

The first mention of the word “worship” in the Bible is found in Genesis 22:5 concerning Abraham as he sought to obey God about sacrificing Isaac, his son of promise.

There is no mention of singing, shouting, dancing, music or instruments, but there is mention of an altar and the treasure of man’s heart being laid on it.

Worship is so much more than the expression of reverence and adoration to God with our lips; it is so much more than a “hallelujah”, a “Praise the Lord”, a shout, a dance or a bending of the knee.

At it’s highest, it is the expression of “worth-ship” to God by surrendering, sacrificing and offering up to Him that which He requires of us no matter what it costs or how much it hurts.

Worship is more so what we do with our lives at God’s request.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” – Romans 12:1 – NIV

Will you worship Him this year?

Selah!

Be encouraged, be blessed and move into the new year empowered by God’s grace and knowing that He has good plans for you!

“I KNOW THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU” –  MARTHA MUNIZZI

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord.“They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

(Jeremiah 29:11 – NLT)

Shalom,

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Are you in a time of transition or transformation and have been in it so long that you feel like you’re in a long dark tunnel?

A WORD FOR YOU

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU

November 25, 2016

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

By Elaine Tavolacci

The Holy Spirit showed me a long dark tunnel. In the same way that you travel through a tunnel to go from one place to another, there are many believers in a time of transition. In the natural most people don’t like to drive through tunnels, especially if they don’t know the length of the tunnel. A tunnel could be dark and cold and seem endless. When you are in a tunnel you have a drastically narrowed field of vision and you are surrounded by walls. Many of you are in a time of transformation that you are unfamiliar with. It seems as if you have been moving forward but not experiencing victory in this cold dismal place. You have been there for so long that you have developed “tunnel vision” as your vision has become extremely narrow.

The Lord is saying to continue to go forward and don’t grow weary in well doing. His plan will begin to unfold as you diligently seek Him in this time of transition. It may be a challenging time and a difficult process, but don’t make the mistake of going back to the old door and opening it again if you know that God had closed it. When Jesus opens a door or makes a way for you, there will be no fear, neither will it be difficult or stressful.

For those of you who have been waiting on a word or promise from the Lord and you are not seeing it come to pass, don’t allow discouragement to take root. We are entering into a season of promises and destinies that are going to be fulfilled. Don’t give up or compromise in the eleventh hour. The greatest challenge is not what you went through in the past but it is the success of your future. Continue to pursue the vision that was promised to you. It will surely come to pass. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Proverbs 4:18
“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Daniel 12:3
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”

Galatians 6: 9
“And Let us not be Weary in well Doing: for In due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Philippians 3:12-14
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

FIVE “SANITY-KEEPING” STRATEGIES FOR WIVES

FIVE “SANITY-KEEPING” STRATEGIES FOR WIVES

"TOGETHER FOREVER"

“TOGETHER FOREVER – BY GOD’S GRACE”

Whenever a man and woman come together in holy matrimony, there is an intermeshing of two distinct bodies, minds, souls, spirits, families, histories, experiences, personalities, worldviews, expectations, and imperfections so conflict is inevitable at some point in the union.

This stands true whether the individuals are Believers in Christ or not……can I get a witness???…okay, I won’t get “churchy” on you (smile!).

Having recently celebrated 25 years of marriage, I’m blessed to be able to say that the canvas of my matrimonial relationship is painted with more blue skies than gray, more mountains than valleys, and more roses than thorns, nevertheless, like many other Christian women, I’ve faced my share of marital challenges.

The following are five “sanity-keeping” strategies that I’ve found helpful in my experience as a married Christian woman.

I shared them previously in April of 2011 and felt a need to share them again today for someone…….if that’s you, my prayer is that you’ll find them helpful too.

1) Recognize and accept that your husband is not perfect.

This may come as a great surprise to you, but your husband is not the only one in your marital relationship that is not perfect, neither are you…..ouch!

It’s important to accept and recognize that the same way you’re on a life-long journey of learning, growth, and development and are therefore likely to make some mistakes or “not so good” decisions at some point, so is your husband.

Remembering this will help you to have more patience, compassion, and understanding when it comes to dealing with his shortcomings, weaknesses, and failures.

2) Look to God as your source, not your husband.

Whatever your needs, whether mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, or financial, practice going to God first about how they can be met as opposed to automatically looking to your husband to meet them.

Ask God for wisdom and direction as to how best to deal with your needs, and know that at times, He may not give you the liberty of voicing them to your husband, but may instead require you to quietly wait on Him to intervene and meet them in His way and His time.

Also, remember that by divine design, your husband will never be able to meet all of your needs so be careful not to fall into the trap of placing unreasonable demands on him, i.e., expecting him to give you what only God can give, or be to you who only God can be.

3) Don’t try to change your husband.

Although they may deny it, many Christian women secretly take on the role of “Holy Ghost Jr.” and set out to change their husbands into the man that they believe he should be.

Woman of God, do yourself and your husband a favor and “don’t go there”.

No matter what you may think, feel, or believe, the truth of the matter is that you can not change your husband, only God can, so you may as well not even try.

Setting out to change your husband is an exercise in frustration and futility because changing a person is a role reserved by God for the Holy Spirit to be done in His way and His time.

Also, be aware that even when your husband is in “error” or “at fault”, sometimes God may not change him right away, but may instead require that you adjust or change first instead.

From your view, this may not be pleasant, or even seem fair, but God is God so we must trust Him and His infinite wisdom to work, in and through our situations as He knows is best.

4) No matter what your husband does, forgive him.

Let’s face it, whether intentionally or unintentionally, sometimes husbands say and do some very hurtful and even harmful things.

When faced with this kind of situation, in spite of the temptation and or desire to retaliate or hold bitterness, anger, and resentment toward your husband, you need to forgive him.

What??????

Hold on a minute!!!!!

Do you know what he did to me?

Do you know what he said to me?

Do you know what he told others about me?

Look at how much I am suffering!

And I must forgive him?

You have got to be out of your mind!!!

Yes, I am out of my mind.

I am out of my fleshly mind because my fleshly mind would tell you to retaliate and seek some type of revenge, to find a way to as Bahamians say, “do him in!”, but that is not the way of the Kingdom; it is not the mind of Christ.

Matthew 6:14, 15 states, “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (New Living Translation)

Sobering!

No one on the face of this earth, including your husband, is worth influencing you to the point where you find yourself walking in a place of unforgiveness with God…….absolutely no one! Selah!

No matter what we face within our marriages, as Christian wives, it is critical that we diligently guard our hearts from  harboring a spirit of unforgiveness towards our husbands.

If ever you find it difficult to forgive your husband, stop and think about the many times you sinned against God and He in His mercy forgave you………..I think that should help.

5) Never love your husband more than you love God.

As Christian women, while it is Biblically correct to obey our husbands, we’re not to do so if what our husband desires is in opposition to what God requires.

God measures our love for Him by our obedience to Him so if we do what our husband desires when it is in opposition to what God requires, we show that we love our husbands more than we love God and this is never right.

God is a jealous God and He makes it emphatically clear in His Word that we are to have no other gods before him.

This means that no matter how “good” your husband may be he should never have first place in your life.

Love your husband, but never allow him to sit on the seat of the throne of your heart, that place is reserved for God alone.

If you ever allow your husband to become an idol in your heart, you can rest assured that at some point, God will take action to correct the situation.

Well, those are five “sanity-saving” strategies that I have found helpful in my experience as a married Christian woman….I hope you found them helpful too.

Be encouraged!

WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS – WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?

WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS – WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?

WORLD CRISIS

“WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS”

WORLD CRISIS ABOUNDS

world crisis abounds

fear, panic and worry everywhere

resting, hoping, and trusting in God the King

When I look at the instability of the kingdoms and nations of this world and its leaders, I am more grateful than ever to be a part of God’s Kingdom.

A Kingdom that is unshakable, a Kingdom that has no end, a Kingdom whose citizens span every race, nation, societal level and color, a Kingdom whose King is our Great and Mighty and Matchless God.

Who is like our God?  – Who can withstand Him, who can defy Him, who can counsel Him, who can thwart His purposes, who can undo what He has decreed, who can open what He shuts, who can shut what He opens – who is like our God?

Our God is Great, Mighty and Matchless!

“Remember [carefully] the former things [which I did] from ages past;For I am God, and there is no one else;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,
Declaring the end and the result from the beginning,
And from ancient times the things which have not [yet] been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,
And I will do all that pleases Me and fulfills My purpose”

(Isaiah 46:9, 10 – AMP)

“HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD” –  (WORLD EDITION)

FEAT. CHRIS TOMLIN

“Great is our [majestic and mighty] Lord and abundant in strength;
His understanding is inexhaustible [infinite, boundless].”

(Psalms 147:5 – AMP)

“There is none like You, O Lord;
You are great, and great is Your mighty and powerful name.
Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?
For it is appropriate and it is Your due!
For among all the wise men of the nations
And in all their kingdoms,
There is none like You.”

(Jeremiah 10:6,7 – AMP)

In the face of all the crisis that abounds in our world today, know that we serve a Great God and are citizens of a Great Kingdom.

This is the truth that we must hold fast to.

This is the truth that will anchor our souls.

Our focus on this truth or lack thereof will determine our level of peace or fear.

Our focus on this truth or lack thereof will determine whether we walk on the tumultuous waters of our times or sink in them.

If we keep our eyes on the reality of the Greatness of our God, and on the fact that He is King over all, and on the fact that we belong to His Kingdom which rules over all, we will have more peace and be water walkers, but if we allow our focus to shift onto the crisis that abounds in this world and onto the instability of its leaders, we will have more fear and sink.

Selah!

Where will your focus be?

Will it be God and His Kingdom or on world leaders and the abounding worldwide crisis?

Today God says:

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

(Psalms 46:10 – NIV, 1984)

Be encouraged,

Kim

“The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].”
