A BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER FOR OUR STUDENTS & TEACHERS FOR 2015-2016

A BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER FOR OUR STUDENTS & TEACHERS FOR 2015-2016

FATHER WE PLACE OUR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS BEFORE YOU

FATHER WE NEED YOU!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity of another school year, a new beginning, a clean page, a fresh start.

Give our students and teachers a mind to work hard and the will, courage and grace to do well as they aim for excellence. Help them to make the most of each opportunity presented, and to put their best foot forward no matter the circumstance.

When things get difficult, grant them a spirit of perseverance to push through and not give up. May their faith not fail in times of trial, but indeed grow stronger. May they know that You are their God, their very present help in times of trouble even in the academic arena.

Cover our students and teachers in the precious blood of Jesus. Bless, keep and protect them. Shield them from all harm and danger and let your warring angels encamp around them and guard them in all of their ways.

Grant them discernment to see, and strategies to foil the plans of the enemy and to avoid every trap set by him. Help them not to be deceived by any doctrine, philosophy, or trend that tries to exalt itself above the Truth of Your Word; even if exposed to their minds, may it not enter their hearts. Let the Truth of Your Word always reign in their innermost being.

Help our students and teachers to work in an atmosphere of unity and cooperation. Should disagreement or conflict arise, empower peacemakers and ministers of reconciliation to move speedily and wisely to restore peace, harmony and order. May there be no room for violence or abuse on any level.

Strengthen and comfort those students and teachers who are coming from homes or personal situations filled with strife and trauma. Strengthen and comfort those who are secretly hurting and broken within, but still have to show up, focus, and do their duties.

Touch these students and teachers like only You can. By your grace, enable them to work well in spite of their situations. Intervene on their behalf. Minister to their needs seen and unseen. Let them know Your love and presence in a special way.

Father, remind each student and teacher of their responsibility to represent You well as Ambassadors of Your Kingdom. Let Your power and anointing rest upon them making them distinct and different, demonstrating godly character and principles.

Remind them that they are salt and light on their school campuses with an assignment to advance your Kingdom and influence those in their environment for Your honor and glory. May lives be changed, hearts transformed and your plans and purposes established as they obey Your will.

Father, thank You for all that You did during the past school years, known and unknown, and thank You in advance for what You will do in this 2015-2016 school year. We ask and pray these things in no other name but the mighty Name of Jesus, amen.

A PRAYER FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN

A PRAYER FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN

PRAYER TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN

PRAY TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN

Dear Heavenly Father,

As our children leave home for school today, cause them to arrive safely.

Assign your warring angels to guard and keep them wherever they are, whoever they are with, and whatever they are doing throughout the day.

Remove any fear from their hearts and replace it with a sense of peace, comfort and Your loving presence.

Help them to maximize and enjoy their educational experience; let not the enemy mar it in any way.

Father by Your grace we refuse to be bound by the spirit of fear, but instead trust You to keep our children safe in Your divine care.

By faith we cover them in the protective blood of Jesus from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet and stand on Your word that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

Father we humbly release our children to You.

Watch over them like only You can.

Thank you for bringing them safely home.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, touch and comfort the families,  friends and colleagues of the murder victims, especially the parents, siblings and classmates of the children whose lives were so tragically lost. Let them know Your loving presence in a special way as they wade through their grief, shock, anger and questions. Bring healing to their minds, bodies, souls and spirits like only You can in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN

A BACK TO SCHOOL PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN

“BACK TO SCHOOL”

I originally posted this prayer/declaration on August 14th, 2010 and feel the need to re-post it as a prayer for our children as they return to school this year.

Don’t just read it, pray it, and not only for your own children if you have children, but for every child the Lord lays upon your heart no matter where they are in the world.

Shalom!

Kim

A Prayer/Declaration as our children, our precious heritage of the Lord return to school:-

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that every assignment of the enemy over our children’s lives is cancelled and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

We cover them in the blood of Jesus from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet and request warring angels of the Lord to encamp around them and to protect them from all harm and danger.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we cast down every high thing that would try to exalt itself against the knowledge of God that our children possess.

We declare that the Word of God is hidden in their hearts and that it is a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path, continuously guiding their decisions and ordering their steps wherever they go and whatever they face.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that our children have a mind to work and that the spirit of excellence rests upon them, influencing their academic performance and behavior.

We declare that they submit to the rules and regulations of their schools and obey the instruction of those in authority over them as long as our children do not violate the Word.

We declare that our children are highly favored of God and that this divine favor positively affects their relations with their school administrators, teachers and fellow students.

In the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that the Spirit of the living God rests upon our children, making them distinct and different in a positive way.

We declare that by the anointing of God, our children demonstrate godly character and principles—that they are salt and light on their school campuses and that God’s plans and purposes are advanced in and through them.

In our authority as the Body of Christ, we declare these things in accordance with the principles of the Word of God and by faith believe and agree that these things are so to the honor and glory of God in Jesus’ name, Amen.

KINGDOM PRINCIPLES DEMONSTRATED BY A BAHAMIAN POTCAKE DOG (PART 1)

KINGDOM PRINCIPLES DEMONSTRATED BY

A BAHAMIAN POTCAKE DOG (PART 1)

My mother has a 17-year-old Bahamian Potcake dog named Shera who is kept in a spacious backyard but is also allowed in the house.

Whenever Shera wants to come inside, he stands by the patio sliding glass door and knocks on it with his paw.

If desired, we let him in, but if not, we say “no Shera!” and ignore his knocking.

When Shera really doesn’t want to come inside that badly, he would usually knock a few more times then stop, but if he really wants to come in, even though we say no and ignore him, he keeps knocking, and knocking, and knocking, and knocking on the door until someone gets fed up with his noisy persistence and lets him inside.

Does this behavior prick your spirit in any way?

Believe it or not, Shera’s actions are a perfect demonstration of the kingdom principle of PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER.

In Matthew 7:7 Jesus states:

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” – (NLT)

Jesus reiterates this same principle in Luke 11:5-10 which states:

5 “Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him,

6 ‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’

7 And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.’

8 But I tell you this—though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.

9 And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” – (NLT)

Again on the subject of persistence in prayer, Luke 18:1-8 states:

1 “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.

2 “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people.

3 A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’

4 The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people,

5 but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”

6 Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.

7 Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

8 I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” (NLT)

How persistent are you in your prayer requests?

Do you ask God a few times then give up, or do you keep asking until you receive what you are asking Him for?

SELAH!

It is clear from the above scriptures that like Shera persistently knocking on the sliding glass door until allowed inside the house, God wants us to persistently bring our prayer requests to Him until He answers them.

Again I ask, how persistent are you in your prayer requests?

“The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them.”

 (Psalms 145:18, 19 – NLT)

“And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”

(I John 5:14, 15 – NLT).

From this day on, whatever your situation, determine by the grace of God to pray your way through and if ever you get weary in prayer, remember the persistent friend who needed bread, the persistent widow who needed justice and the persistent Bahamian Potcake dog who wanted to come inside (smile!).

Be encouraged!
