CHANGE IS CALLING

CHANGE IS CALLING

IT JUST DOESN’T FIT!

Good morning to all my WordPress family, email subscribers and readers!

There’s something important that I need to let you know.

Have you ever had a favorite piece of clothing that you’ve worn for years then one day you try it on and it does not fit?

You want it to fit so you pull, tug, twist, wiggle, hold in, stretch, but none of that helps…it just does not fit.

It used to fit beautifully, you enjoyed wearing it, it looked good on you, you felt comfortable in it, others complimented you on it and even encouraged you to wear it often, but now it simply won’t fit.

For me, Unwalled has become that piece of clothing.

Aone time Unwalled fit in my spirit well, but things are shifting, and continuing with it as at present is like trying to squeeze into that favorite old garment that just won’t fit.

I’ve been seeking God’s wisdom on the matter and asking Him what this “mis-fitness” means and requires.

I don’t have any clear instructions yet, but whatever He tells me to do, whether it is to make some key changes or to discontinue the blog, I will do it so out of respect and fairness, I’m sharing this with you now.

When something in our life no longer fits, change, i.e., letting go of the familiar either in part or whole, is calling.

Is there someone or something in some aspect of your life, family, work, church/ministry, friendships, health, finances, whatever, that you know no longer fits, and that you sense the Lord telling you to lay aside, put off, leave behind, walk away from, no longer be involved in, adjust or see differently?

At times just the thought of this can be daunting, so we figuratively prefer to squeeze into that old, favorite garment, keeping things the same way, but if change is what God requires, it is best that we do it in spite of our feelings because in the same way that we cannot move forward while looking back, we cannot hold on to what no longer fits and expect to progress in God’s plan for our lives.

If there is someone or something that no longer fits, I urge you to seek the Lord about it then listen to and do whatever He says, knowing that, “The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.“

By God’s grace, that’s what I intend to do, not just with Unwalled, but in every area of my life that no longer fits and requires God-inspired change.

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.”

Philippians 2:13 – NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13 – NKJV

WordPress family, email subscribers and readers, please know that I appreciate each of you.

Once I receive clarity about Unwalled and have some instructions re its future, I’ll let you know.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

(Ecclesiastes 3:1 – KJV)

CHANGE IS CALLING!

UNWALLED POETRY – THE STORY BEHIND THE BOOK

UNWALLED POETRY – THE STORY BEHIND THE BOOK

On several occasions over the past few weeks, I’ve been asked,

“So, how did Unwalled Poetry come about; what’s the story behind the book?”

so here it is in a nutshell.

From around 2002 or so, poems began to spontaneously drop into my spirit.

I’d be asleep at night and awakened in the wee hours of the morning with a poem and write it in my spiritual journal that I kept by my bedside.

As time passed, the poems not only came at night but began to show up anytime and anywhere so I would have to quickly find something to write them on.

When I started “Unwalled” in February of 2010, to vary the blog’s content, I occasionally posted some of the poems. I also shared some via email.

This went on for the next few years, then in January of 2014, the Lord instructed me to compile the poems in a manuscript and have them published in a book. He also gave me the name of the book and the devotional format at that time.

I wish I could say that I promptly and joyfully obeyed, but that was not the case; I confess that internally, I resisted.

I resisted “reasoning” that the poems were already available online and blessing lives so why do a book…

that poetry books usually do not sell well so why publish a book that people are not likely to buy to read instead of publishing another that they more likely will…

that to compile the poems would be very time-consuming and a lot of my time was already tied up with the assignment of establishing my life coaching practice…

However, in spite of the fight that my carnal mind put up, my spirit prevailed and later that year, I began to compile the poems and draft the manuscript, doing a little here and there between everything else.

When 2015 rolled around, I continued to peck at the task, not really giving it the focused attention that I should have.

This continued until May of 2016 when I became ill and had to take a long break from everything.

During that time, while meditating one day, the Lord reminded me of His instruction to compile the poems and publish the book and rebuked me for the lackadaisical attitude I’d displayed toward it…His directive was to “get it done!”

Needless to say, I repented, asked His forgiveness, and as soon as I was well enough, I made every effort to do just that.

In early December of 2016, I finished the manuscript of 101 poems.

That Christmas Day, I submitted it to Christian Living Books, a publishing company in Bowie Maryland, USA, that I’d heard good reviews about.

On New Year’s Eve, I received notification of its acceptance and received a publishing contract from the company’s President, Mrs. Kimberley Stewart.

Less than three months later in March 2017, the book, Unwalled Poetry, was published in both electronic and paperback formats…God is good…\0/.

Unwalled poetry is not a result of something I set out to produce.

It is the result of obedience to a God-given directive to take spontaneously inspired poems, compile them in a manuscript and have them published with a specific title and devotional format.

It is of Him…I am simply the vessel it came through.

So in a nutshell, that’s the story behind Unwalled Poetry – A Different Devotional Experience.

The book is available online everywhere in both paperback and e-book formats, and locally in the Bahamas at The Bible Book & Gift Center – Palmdale Shopping Plaza, The Hallmark Store – The Mall at Marathon, and Logos Bookstore – Harbour Bay Shopping Center, East Bay Street, or from me personally.

I invite you to buy and read a copy…it will give you a different devotional experience and your spiritual life will never be the same!

Peace & Blessings,

Kim

CAST YOUR NETS AGAIN

CAST YOUR NETS AGAIN

CAST YOUR NETS AGAIN!

Like Peter, you have cast your nets into the water time and time again with no fruit, no impact, no true effect.

You have tried and tried and tried, but nothing has worked, even though you know that the thing that you seek to do is of Me and from Me.

Time and time again you were at the point of giving up, walking away, leaving it alone…but you could not.

Time and time again, a looming cloud of discouragement threatened to quench the fire of zeal in your soul…but it could not.

It could not because I did not allow the flame of desire in your heart to go out, for indeed what you seek to do is of Me and from Me.

While you sought to cause it to be, I sought to cause you to become.

While you sought to make it, I sought to make you.

While you sought to prepare for it, I sought to prepare you for it.

While you sought to build it, I sought to build you.

SELAH!

Now that you are internally where I need you to be, I say to you, cast your nets again.

Cast them out again for this time you will catch a draught that you can not contain; a draught so large that you will need others to assist you.

Do not be discouraged.

Cast your nets again for this time, you will catch that which has seemingly been evading you.

Be encouraged!

DON’T FIGHT THE PROCESS – LET GOD RE-MAKE YOU

THE MASTER POTTER

By Elaine Tavolacci

March 4, 2017

The Holy Spirit showed me a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel. The potter began to spin the wheel as he molded and shaped the piece of clay as he formed it. When making pottery on a potter’s wheel, the clay has to first be centered, then water is applied before the potter begins his creation. The potter then shapes the clay into the image that he desires. There are different wheels used to create different vessels. The Lord has designed each one of us in a distinct way with a specific calling. Each person is created for a unique purpose and plan.

The Lord told Jeremiah to go down to the Potters house to give him a prophetic illustration. When he went, he had seen the potter making something at the wheel. The clay vessel that the potter had made was marred in his hands; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Many people don’t understand the process of the potter’s wheel. The potter’s wheel is not to judge us or punish us, but it is to form us into the masterpiece that Jesus has created us to be.

The Lord says; just as the potter designs each clay pot into different shapes and sizes, I have designed and created every individual. Every person has been born with a unique purpose and plan. Each of you have been strategically designed for a particular purpose, and I will work with each of you in a specific way. Do not fear the potter’s wheel and do not refuse it, for this is My workmanship. This is the place where I am molding you and conforming you into My image. This is the place where all impurities and defilement will be destroyed and all bruises and blemishes will be erased. This is the place where the rough edges will be smooth out, broken vessels will be restored and old mindsets will be dismantled. Afflictions, traumas and misfortunes from the past will be removed, and dreams will be birth and brought forth. This is the place where your mind will be renewed and you will learn to walk in integrity and maturity. This place is necessary for your spiritual growth to bring forth the gifts that I have placed on the inside of you.

Do not refuse the work on the potters wheel but allow Me to transform you as I shape your life and destiny. Trust Me when the process seems too difficult. Don’t say that this is an uncomfortable place, but know that it is for your benefit and it is necessary to bring you in to the fulfillment of My plans. Do not resist the work that I am doing on the inside of you, but allow Me to accomplish My perfect will through you. Allow Me to work with you and fashion you into My image. I Am the master potter and as you allow Me, I will design your life so that you will become all that I have created you to be. You will become a glorious vessel of honor, and others will see the brilliance of the transformed life that I am creating in you. I desire to make something beautiful out of your life as you allow Me to work in you and through you says the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Isaiah 29:16
Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made it, “He did not make me”? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.

Jeremiah 18:1-4
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:” Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.

In 2012, I came across this short video called “In the Potter’s Hands” by Pastor Steve Hill that I believe may shed some light on your perplexity and be a blessing to you.

Now be blessed by Darlene Zschech and Hillsong as they sing “The Potters Hand”

It may seem really hard sometimes, but don’t fight the process.

Let God re-make you to fit His purpose and destiny for your life.

By His grace, you can!

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 11

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 11

"SELAH - PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT"

“SELAH – PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT”

From time-to-time, I like to post quotes that I view as noteworthy.

The following quote was written and posted on my church’s Whatsapp Group this morning, by Nardo Dean, who is the author of, “The Trilogy of Fitness: Bodyonix Bahamas”, and I’m sharing it with his permission.

“By being your true self, you take on the form of a unique shape that is a piece of the universal puzzle by Gods design. By trying to be who you’re not for whatever reason, your once unique puzzle piece shape becomes warped, therefore the other pieces that depended on you to be you so they can fit onto you…can’t fit. So in spite of it all, don’t be afraid to be yourself…we all need you to be you…. be encouraged.” ~ Nardo Dean

SELAH!

This year, let’s be our true, authentic selves.

Let’s be the unique individuals who God created us to be so that we fit seamlessly where and with whom we need to fit in God’s universal puzzle for His purposes and glory.

I dare you……

A WORD FOR YOU

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU

November 25, 2016

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

By Elaine Tavolacci

The Holy Spirit showed me a long dark tunnel. In the same way that you travel through a tunnel to go from one place to another, there are many believers in a time of transition. In the natural most people don’t like to drive through tunnels, especially if they don’t know the length of the tunnel. A tunnel could be dark and cold and seem endless. When you are in a tunnel you have a drastically narrowed field of vision and you are surrounded by walls. Many of you are in a time of transformation that you are unfamiliar with. It seems as if you have been moving forward but not experiencing victory in this cold dismal place. You have been there for so long that you have developed “tunnel vision” as your vision has become extremely narrow.

The Lord is saying to continue to go forward and don’t grow weary in well doing. His plan will begin to unfold as you diligently seek Him in this time of transition. It may be a challenging time and a difficult process, but don’t make the mistake of going back to the old door and opening it again if you know that God had closed it. When Jesus opens a door or makes a way for you, there will be no fear, neither will it be difficult or stressful.

For those of you who have been waiting on a word or promise from the Lord and you are not seeing it come to pass, don’t allow discouragement to take root. We are entering into a season of promises and destinies that are going to be fulfilled. Don’t give up or compromise in the eleventh hour. The greatest challenge is not what you went through in the past but it is the success of your future. Continue to pursue the vision that was promised to you. It will surely come to pass. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Proverbs 4:18
“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Daniel 12:3
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”

Galatians 6: 9
“And Let us not be Weary in well Doing: for In due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Philippians 3:12-14
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

WANTED: MIGHTY MEN & WOMEN OF VALOR

WANTED: MIGHTY MEN & WOMEN OF VALOR

Do you know that God has called you to a task or assignment but you feel inadequate and unqualified?

CALLING MIGHTY MEN AND WOMEN OF VALOR

CALLING MIGHTY MEN AND WOMEN OF VALOR

November 12, 2016

WANTED: MIGHTY MEN & WOMEN OF VALOR

Elaine Tavolacci

In the natural it may appear as if the churches are dwindling down in membership, Christian friends are falling away, great men and women of God are passing away, and believers are declining in number. But the truth is, that God has a remnant that He has chosen for His end time army to usher in the greatest harvest in history. The fields are white unto harvest and it is about time that we take our place in what we have been called to do. Many of you feel inadequate, unqualified, or uneducated to be used by God.

There was a man in the bible named Gideon who was fearful and weak in his own sight, but mighty in the eyes of God. The name Gideon means “Mighty warrior”. Gideon was called to deliver Israel from the Midianites, but one day Gideon was hiding as they were attacking Israel. God had sent an angel to him saying, “The Lord is with you, mighty man of valor”. Gideon replied with a question, if the Lord is with us, why did all these terrible things happen? The Lord responded, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man. After this encounter with the angel, Gideon went and rescued Israel from the enemy with an army which the Lord had reduced from thirty two thousand men, to three hundred men. The Lord also allowed Gideon to see into the enemies’ camp.

The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you are fearful and you feel as if an army is rising up against you, but Jesus calls you a mighty man/woman of valor. You will defeat every enemy that attempts to overtake you, and you will be used in a great way.

The Lord says I looking for the mighty men and women of valor. They are those who will take heed to My word, and see themselves as I have created them to be. I am calling forth My warriors who are not fearful or fainthearted. I am looking for those who will walk in faith and are not moved by adverse circumstances. They are those men and women who are willing to go to the front lines regardless of what they hear and see in the natural. They will take Me at My word as they rescue and deliver the captives. Their minds are sharp and their thinking is intuitive, therefore they are not moved by bad reports but will continue to advance into all that I have called them to do. They do not fear the unknown and are not be afraid of what lies ahead. They know that I have given them everything that they need to accomplish My purpose and plan for their life. They will not become weary as the enemy seems to be battering and relentless. As they seek My counsel, I will give them clear understanding and keen discernment. They will seek Me for wisdom and direction when they are in doubt.

I am looking for those who will not tolerate idolatry. They are those who will destroy the god of Baal and the goddess of Asherah. They will sacrifice everything for My name’s sake and they are willing to burn their bridges behind them and forget the mistakes from their past. To them I will expose the plans of the adversary. They will discern the enemies’ tactics and recognize his schemes. They will then understand the assignments that the enemy has brought against them to distract them, and remove them from their purpose and destiny. I will give them discernment to thwart the plans of the enemy over their life. This discernment that I give will bring wisdom and direction. But this discernment that I give will not come without reading My word. This discernment will not come without prayer and intimacy with Me. Store My word in your heart. In the days ahead you will look back and understand that everything that you have done was not in vain.

Though there will be armies ahead of you, I have already made a way of escape. Don’t allow your circumstances to rule your thinking, but align your thoughts with My word. Do not allow discouragement and despair to wear you down. I have created you and called you for such a time as this. Stand strong in the face of adversity and do not be confused about what you see in the natural. As you pray and believe, know that your prayers are powerful and effective. I did not call you to mediocrity but I have called you to conqueror difficult situations that arise abruptly. Submit your lives in total surrender to Me, ask of Me and I will give you the wisdom, discernment and understanding for the days ahead. Just as I sent the angel to Gideon with a message, I say the same to you, rise up you mighty man/ woman of valor and carry out the assignment that I have for you says the Lord.

Judges 6:11-12
“Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Judges 7:13-15
“Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.” His friend responded, “This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.” When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed down and worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, “Get up! The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands.”

1 Corinthians 1:26 – 29
“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.”

YOU ARE UNIQUE

YOU ARE UNIQUE

YOU ARE AS UNIQUE AS YOUR FINGERPRINTS

YOU ARE AS UNIQUE AS YOUR FINGERPRINTS

What do a snowflake, fingerprint, and you have in common?

Each is unique.

You are unique!

I came across the following writing a few months ago and thought I’d share it today; unfortunately, I could not find the name of its author, but it reads follows:

“You Are Unique”

“Think what a remarkable, unduplicatable, and miraculous thing it is to be you! Of all the people who have come and gone on the earth, since the beginning of time, not one of them is like you!

No one who has ever lived or is to come has had your combination of abilities, talents, appearance, friends, acquaintances, burdens, sorrows and opportunities.

No one’s hair grows exactly the way yours does. No one’s fingerprints are like yours. No one has the same combination of secret inside jokes and family expressions that you know.

The few people who laugh at all the same things you do, don’t sneeze the way you do. No one prays about exactly the same concerns as you do. No one is loved by the same combination of people that love you – no one!

There has never been anyone before like you and there will never be another.

You are absolutely unique!

Enjoy that uniqueness. You do not have to pretend in order to seem more like someone else. You weren’t meant to be like someone else. You do not have to lie to conceal the parts of you that are not like what you see in anyone else.

You were meant to be different. Nowhere ever in all of history will the same things be going on in anyone’s mind, soul and spirit as are going on in yours right now.

If you did not exist, there would be a hole in creation, a gap in history, something missing from the plan for humankind.

Treasure your uniqueness. It is a gift given only to you. Enjoy it and share it!

No one can reach out to others in the same way that you can. No one can speak your words. No one can convey your meanings. No one can comfort with your kind of comfort. No one can bring your kind of understanding to another person.

No one can be cheerful and lighthearted and joyous in your way. No one can smile your smile. No one else can bring the whole unique impact of you to another human being.

Share your uniqueness. Let it be free to flow out among your family and friends and people you meet in the rush and clutter of living wherever you are. That gift of yourself was given you to enjoy and share. Give yourself away!

See it! Receive it! Let it tickle you! Let it inform you and nudge you and inspire you!”

You are unique!

You are unique!

Carl Hinderager, Ph.D.  – “God Made You Unique”

Biblical Studies at Briercrest

You are a Designer’s original uniquely fashioned by God to complement and effectively carry out the divine purpose for which He sent you to this earth.

Let God use you like He made you!

You are unique!

In Psalm 139:13-17, the Psalmist David wrote:

“For You formed my innermost parts;

You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works,

And my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was being formed in secret,

And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;

And in Your book were all written

The days that were appointed for me,

When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How vast is the sum of them!”

(Psalms 139:13-15 – Amplified Bible)

The Psalmist David understood the uniqueness inherent in his created existence and praised and thanked God for it.

You are unique.

Embrace your uniqueness!

Cherish your uniqueness!

Celebrate your uniqueness!

Walk in your uniqueness!

A GOOD THING???

A GOOD THING???

BE CAREFUL

A GOOD THING IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING!

“Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.”

(Acts 16:6-8 – NKJV)

Speaking of the Apostle Paul and his ministry team, the above scripture states that they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the Word in Asia, then when they came to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but again, the Spirit did not permit them.

What!

Isn’t preaching the Word something God wants to happen?

Isn’t it something He has commanded done as a fundamental,  part of His plan to build the Body of Christ and advance His Kingdom?

Isn’t it a good thing???

Yes, in and of itself, preaching the Word is a good thing, but in these instances, to have done so at the time in these places clearly was not a good thing from God’s perspective otherwise the Holy Spirit would not have stopped them from doing so.

So what can we learn from this?

Some small yet powerful takeaways are:-

  1. God may say “no” to what we consider a good thing.

He is Lord, so His divine purpose is ultimately key.

2. God’s definition of good entails more than our definition of good.

Many times we base our definition of good purely on the nature of an action, however, from God’s view, it is not just the nature of an action that makes it good, but also whether or not He has sanctioned the action to be done at the time, and/or place and/or with the person(s) we propose to do it.

  3.     It is not always the enemy coming against us when we attempt to do “good” things and are forbidden or blocked.

When we encounter internal or external resistance or obstructions, we need to exercise spiritual discernment to determine its source whether of God or the enemy.

Selah!

So why did the Holy Spirit not permit Paul and his ministry team to preach the Word in Asia or Bithynia, the ensuing verses reveal that God’s will was for the Apostle Paul and his ministry team to go to Macedonia at that time so that is where they instead headed.

When it comes to doing good, it is God’s will, purpose and  intention that is important, not ours.

He is Lord, so our obedience to Him is what ultimately determines whether good is truly being done.

Be encouraged,

Kim

IS GOD CALLING FOR CHANGE?

IS GOD CALLING FOR CHANGE?

IT JUST DOES NOT FIT!

IT JUST DOES NOT FIT!

Are there people, places or things in your life that you know just do not fit anymore?

The following is a post I wrote in March of 2012 called “If It Just Does Not Fit Your Life, It’s Time To Change It” that I believe will help you.

Be blessed!

Be encouraged!

Be motivated!

IF IT JUST DOES NOT FIT YOUR LIFE, IT’S TIME TO CHANGE IT

Have you ever had a favorite piece of clothing that you’ve worn for years then one day you try it on and it just does not fit?

You pull, tug, twist, wiggle, hold in, stretch, but it just does not fit.

Mind you, it was fitting all along and you enjoyed wearing it. It looked good on you, you felt comfortable in it, others complimented you on it and even encouraged you to wear it, but now it just does not fit.

What is it in your life that used to fit beautifully, but now it just does not fit?

Is it your job, or position at work?
The place where you live?
The local church you attend?
The way you dress?
Your eating habits?
An attitude?
A mindset?
A method you’ve used to do a specific task?
A way of relating to someone?
A friendship or some other relationship?
Helping a certain person or institution in a particular way?
Your perspective or belief about something or someone?

What is it in your life that used to fit beautifully, but now it just does not fit?

At one time it fit you well. You felt at peace with it, it complemented your life, produced good fruit, helped and blessed others, provided fulfillment, enabled you to grow and develop, but now if you are honest with yourself, holding on to or continuing in it is like trying to squeeze into that favorite old garment that just won’t fit.

What is it in your life that used to fit beautifully, but now it just does not fit?

Selah!

Once identified, no matter what it is in your life that just does not fit, it is important for you to accept the fact that it just does not fit and some adjustments are needed.

Next, it is important to seek God’s wisdom on the matter. Ask Him why you are experiencing this “mis-fitness” and to show you how to deal with it. As you open your heart and mind to hear from Him, remember that whatever He speaks to you will never contradict His written Word or its principles in any way.

Lastly, and most importantly, whatever He tells you to do, just do it!

Okay, I know that depending on what He says, sometimes it is not that easy, but I also know that God will never instruct you to do anything that He has not already made a way for you to do.

So whether He directs you to sever a relationship, re-define a friendship, leave a job, seek a new place to live, withhold help where you once freely gave it, change your eating or dressing habits, your way of relating to someone, your attitude toward a situation or person, where you attend church, or anything else, you can rest assured that His grace, His divine enabling power, is available to help you to do it.

When something in our life no longer fits, change is calling.

Let’s face it, sometimes it is scary letting go of the familiar. We figuratively prefer to squeeze into that old, favorite garment, but if change is what God requires, it is best that we do it in spite of our feelings because in the same way that we can not move forward while looking back, we can not hold on to what no longer fits and expect to progress in God’s plan for our lives.

What is it in your life that you know no longer fits, and that you sense the Lord telling you to lay aside, put off, leave behind, walk away from, no longer be involved in, adjust or see differently?

Whatever it is, I exhort you to hear, listen to and obey His voice and remember that “The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God can not keep you.“

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.”

Philippians 2:13 – NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13 – NKJV

Shalom!

Kim
