ENCOURAGEMENT FOR STUDENTS & TEACHERS
FOR THE 2015 SCHOOL YEAR
TO THE STUDENTS
BE ENCOURAGED TO:
Study your work every day
Treat your teachers, administrators, custodial staff and fellow students with respect
Understand and keep foremost in your minds that main reason you are at school is to learn
Do not hang out with anyone who will pull you away from what you know is right and hinder your success
Encourage your peers to do well and behave well
Never be afraid to ask questions
Take advantage of available extra classes and get involved in at least one extra-curricular activity
Set personal goals, aim high and stay focused
TO THE TEACHERS
BE ENCOURAGED TO:
Teach with precision, purpose and passion
Encourage your students to maximize their abilities and soar
Acknowledge and praise all progress no matter how big or small
Choose to be the change you want to see – your actions will speak louder than any words you may say
Handle “problem students” with firmness, compassion, and care; remember there’s a story behind every story
Ensure you know your limits and take mini breaks to de-stress if you feel tempted to explode
Remember you have a strong, potentially life-altering influence on your students so use it well
Support each other when the going gets tough
TO THE STUDENTS & THE TEACHERS
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!”
(Proverbs 3:5-7 – The Message Bible)
HAVE A PRODUCTIVE, ENJOYABLE, ENRICHING, SUCCESSFUL 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR!
Blessings to all!
