THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Are you in a time of transition or transformation and have been in it so long that you feel like you’re in a long dark tunnel?

I received the following prophetic word by Elaine Tavolacci this morning via my subscription to her website, http://www.awordinseason.info. which I believe will be a timely word for you, and as such, am re-blogging it with her permission.

Be encouraged,

A WORD FOR YOU

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU

November 25, 2016

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

By Elaine Tavolacci

The Holy Spirit showed me a long dark tunnel. In the same way that you travel through a tunnel to go from one place to another, there are many believers in a time of transition. In the natural most people don’t like to drive through tunnels, especially if they don’t know the length of the tunnel. A tunnel could be dark and cold and seem endless. When you are in a tunnel you have a drastically narrowed field of vision and you are surrounded by walls. Many of you are in a time of transformation that you are unfamiliar with. It seems as if you have been moving forward but not experiencing victory in this cold dismal place. You have been there for so long that you have developed “tunnel vision” as your vision has become extremely narrow.

The Lord is saying to continue to go forward and don’t grow weary in well doing. His plan will begin to unfold as you diligently seek Him in this time of transition. It may be a challenging time and a difficult process, but don’t make the mistake of going back to the old door and opening it again if you know that God had closed it. When Jesus opens a door or makes a way for you, there will be no fear, neither will it be difficult or stressful.

For those of you who have been waiting on a word or promise from the Lord and you are not seeing it come to pass, don’t allow discouragement to take root. We are entering into a season of promises and destinies that are going to be fulfilled. Don’t give up or compromise in the eleventh hour. The greatest challenge is not what you went through in the past but it is the success of your future. Continue to pursue the vision that was promised to you. It will surely come to pass. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Proverbs 4:18
“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Daniel 12:3
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”

Galatians 6: 9
“And Let us not be Weary in well Doing: for In due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Philippians 3:12-14
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 7

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 7

"SELAH - PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT"

“SELAH – PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT”

“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.

Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

(Matthew 5: 13-16 – The Message Bible)

GOD WANTS TO DO A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE IN 2013

GOD WANTS TO DO A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE IN 2013

"GOD WANTS TO DO A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE"

“GOD WANTS TO DO A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE”

God wants to do a new thing in your life in 2013.

Isn’t that good news!

Do you want to know what it is?

Do you want to see it manifested?

Isaiah 43:18, 19 states:-

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” – (NIV, 1984)

To see the new thing God wants to do in your life will require you to forget the former things……even the former good things…..SELAH!

It will require you to not dwell on the past…….not even on the good past……SELAH!

It will require you to choose to release what was, whether good or bad, in order to embrace what already is, as far as God is concerned, and what will be, as far as you are concerned, once you get your perception aligned with His.

If your mind is wrapped up in things of the past, this is hindering your ability to see what God wants to do in your life now.

If you can not see what He wants to do in your life now, how can you receive it or walk in it?

A cup of water is no good to a thirsty man if he does not know it is there…..Selah!

To embrace the new thing God wants to do in your life, you need to see it, and to see it, you need to forget the former things and not dwell on the past.

What former thing(s) do you continuously remember?

What thing(s) from your past do you dwell on?

A past relationship you had, position you held, past financial state, career, or ministry?

A past school you once attended, country you once lived in, business, house or car you once owned?

A past, death, marriage, divorce, child or state of health?

A past hurt, disappointment, failure, success, or victory?

Maybe even a past move of God?

Whatever the case, today God says, forget it. Dwell on it no longer. Do this and it will unblock your vision and you will see the new thing I am doing in your life and know that I have already gone ahead of you to make the way.

God wants to do a new thing in your life in 2013.

Do you want to know what it is?

Do you want to see it?

He says:-

“Forget about what’s happened;
don’t keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?
There it is! I’m making a road through the desert,
rivers in the badlands.”

(Isaiah 43:18, 19  – The Message Bible)

Now what are you going to do?

It’s up to you.

His help is just a prayer away.

God wants to do a new thing in your life in 2013.

Selah!

SONGS OF HOPE, JOY AND PEACE FOR 2013

"2013"

“2013”

As the new year approaches, a spiritual perceptual war rages.

The enemy wants you to see 2013 through his eyes so he can fill your heart with worry, anxiety and fear.

God wants you to see 2013 through His eyes so He can fill your heart with hope, joy and peace.

Whose view will you embrace?

The enemy’s or God’s?

May the following songs bless, strengthen and inspire you to embrace God’s view.

A SONG OF ASCENTS

“1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

6 The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;

8 The Lord will watch over your coming and going
 both now and forevermore.”

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE

KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!

“KEEP THE DREAM LIVE!”

To everyone who had a dream for 2012 that did not happen due to various circumstances, the word for you today is, “keep the dream alive”.

Don’t give up and let your dream die simply because it did not come to pass this year.

Instead, Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping, keep trusting, keep planning, keep acting, for in due season, by the grace of God, it will surely come to pass.

Be encouraged and inspired by this video of Yolanda Adams singing “Never Give Up”.

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behind hand on its appointed day.”

(Habakkuk 2:3 – Amplified Bible)

FOCUS – YOU CAN’T MOVE FORWARD LOOKING BACK

YOU CAN’T MOVE FORWARD LOOKING BACK

Look Forward

Can you imagine getting into a vehicle and setting out to a new destination all the while looking in the rear view mirror?

For as absurd as this may sound, sometimes we Believers metaphorically do the very same thing.

When God decrees a new thing or path for our lives, instead of setting out to attain it with a forward focus and hearts and minds open to His “now” instructions, methods and resources, we set out to attain it with a backward focus and hearts and minds clouded by His “then” methods, instructions, and resources.

In other words, we try to move forward looking back.

Is there some new thing that God has instructed you to do, or some new place God has instructed you to go?

NEWSFLASH – YOU CAN’T MOVE FORWARD LOOKING BACK!

You can not successfully move forward into a new thing looking back to what God said back then, to how God moved back then, to what God provided back then, or to who or what God used back then.

YOU CAN’T MOVE FORWARD LOOKING BACK!

Are you trying to move forward while looking back?

If so, the Lord says to you the same words of wisdom that He spoke through the prophet Isaiah centuries ago:-

“Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18, 19 – Amplified Bible)

As you move toward the new thing that God has decreed for your life, remember that you cannot expect to attain it looking back to former things and considering things of old.

By His grace take the time to discern and embrace His “now” who, what, where, when, why and how and not be encumbered by His “then” who, what, where, when, why and how.

Be encouraged to learn from the past, be guided by the Word in the present, and keep your spirit open to His voice concerning the future.

Shalom!

THE BEST REMEDY FOR WORRY ABOUT YOUR BASIC NEEDS

THE BEST REMEDY FOR WORRY ABOUT YOUR BASIC NEEDS

Yesterday morning I went into my Mum’s garden to check the guava trees for ripe guavas.

As I approached one of the trees, a beautiful black bird with orange eyes and orange legs caught my eye.

The bird was perched on a branch looking around and enjoying the beauty and tranquility of its surroundings.

As I moved closer, the bird briefly glanced at me then turned its head and continued to look around.

I went inside, got a camera, came back out and took its picture and it still remained on the branch looking around, seemingly without a worry or care in the world.

As I observed the bird in its calmness and serenity, I thought to myself, you know what, I have never seen a stressed out bird.

I have never seen a bird burdened down with worry and care over where it will sleep or get its food………Have you?

This brought to mind the scripture in Matthew chapter 6 where the Lord spoke about worrying.

In verses 25 and 26 Jesus states:

“Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?”  (Amplified Bible)

Pause and think about that for a moment.

If God, your heavenly Father makes sure that the birds are fed, will He not take care of your needs as His child created in His image and purchased by the precious shed blood of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ?

Selah!

Why then do you worry?

Does it help you in any way?

In verse 27, Jesus states,

And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?”  (Amplified Bible)

Selah!

Continuing to address worry, in verses 28-30 Jesus states:

“And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin. Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these. [I Kings 10:4-7.]

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith?”  (Amplified Bible)

Pause and think about that for a moment.

If God, your heavenly Father clothes the lilies and grass of the field that is here today and gone tomorrow, will He not clothe you,His child created in His image and purchased by the precious shed blood of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ?

Selah!

Jesus continues in verses 31-34

“Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being  right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.”  (Amplified Bible)

So what then is the best remedy for worry about your basic needs?

Verse 33 holds a key.

“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”  (Amplified Bible)

The best remedy for worry about your basic needs is to prioritize God’s Kingdom and His righteousness then to have faith that when you do this in obedience to His Word, He will supply those needs.

To say it another way, the best remedy for worry about your basic needs is to prioritize God’s way of doing and being and to believe that because you are doing this in obedience to His Word, that He will be faithful to keep His Word and supply all of those needs.

New Living Translation (NLT) puts verse 33 this way:-

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

So when the world, flesh and the devil try to bombard you with worry about your basic needs, remember the birds, the lillies and the grass and prioritize God’s way of doing and being and have faith that He will provide all that you need because of your obedience.

Be encouraged!

10 LEADERSHIP KEYS FROM EXODUS 32

10 LEADERSHIP KEYS FROM EXODUS 32

I am by no means a leadership guru, but between my studies on leadership, service in various leadership capacities, and experiences working closely with leaders in the corporate world and in the Body of Christ, I have a fairly good understanding of what leadership entails and it is not an easy matter, nor one to be taken lightly.

While leadership is a good thing and is undeniably a place of power and authority and in many instances of prestige, privileges, accolades, and monetary gain, it is also a place of service and even more so of awesome responsibility because of the powerful level of influence on the lives of others that comes with the office of a leader.

If you are a leader, whether or not you recognize or accept it, simply because of the nature of your position, you have the inherent ability to powerfully influence the lives of those under your sphere of leadership and you will be held accountable by God for the way you choose to use that influence to affect the lives of others.

To me, the level of responsibility and accountability that comes with being a leader is very sobering, especially when it comes to the prospect of leadership in the Body of Christ, God’s own people.

In light of this, it absolutely amazes me when persons clamor and jockey for positions of leadership in the church. I once asked a seasoned pastor why he thinks this occurs and his response was, “Kim, they simply do not know what they are asking for. Anyone who really understands leadership in the church will want to run away from it instead of running to it!”

Fellow Kingdom Ambassador/Believer, please note that while leadership is good, honorable and even desirable, it is not something to take lightly or assume without being called to it and understanding the heavy responsibility and accountability that it entails.

Okay, enough musings on leadership. It was certainly not my intention to begin this post with all the above, but I believe it flowed in this direction because someone needs to lay hold of these truths.

The following are 10 leadership keys drawn from reading Exodus Chapter 32.

Whether you are a leader at home, church, work, school, in the community or recreationally, I pray that they will empower, encourage and strengthen you.

Key 1

Whenever you do not know God’s direction and/or sense His presence, resist the temptation to turn to a substitute god to meet or fulfill your needs.

No matter how long it takes, it is best to discipline yourself and wait on the Lord until He manifests Himself and addresses your situation in His way and His time.

Key 2

Be careful not to buckle under the pressure, demands and/or desires of the people who you lead, especially when these pressures, demands and/or desires are contrary to the Word of God, or to the mission, vision, or direction that God has already spoken to you.

Key 3

Never underestimate the powerful force of self-preservation.

Even Aaron, the High Priest succumbed to the pull of self-preservation and lied about his poor leadership choices in an attempt to “save face” and escape being held accountable for his actions.

Key 4

Make a decision to stand on the Lord’s side then purpose to operate from and be guided by that side/position, no matter what situation you face.

Key 5

Know that from time-to-time, proof of your side/position will demand going against or even separation from those closest to you.

This may seem “costly” but is always worth it.

Key 6

Be ready to intercede for those under your authority even when they willfully sin.

A part of the mantle of leadership is to function as an intercessor for those whom you lead.

Key 7

Remember that God is a righteous judge and so even though you may stand in the gap for those whom you lead, every person will ultimately give an account and pay the price for his/her own sin.

Key 8

Be ready to make hard decisions and bring order in the midst of chaos, even if it means becoming unpopular.

Key 9

Beware of being a people-pleaser.

A desire to please people often leads to compromise, sin and destruction.

Saul’s desire to please people and not God cost him the kingdom (1 Samuel 15).

Moses’ desire to please God and not people led to the restoration of order and re-alignment with purpose.

Key 10

Major disruption or interruption does not necessitate or justify abandonment or abortion of purpose.

In spite of the evil hat had occurred, God still told Moses to lead the people to the place that He had originally promised them they were going, i.e., to the land flowing with milk and honey.

No matter what happens, God’s purposes must come to pass.

These leadership keys have been a blessing to me; I hope they have been a blessing to you too.

Remember, in the Kingdom of God, it is not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord that things are accomplished.

Shalom!

HELP I’M IN THE FIRE!!!!! – ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THOSE IN DIFFICULT TRIALS

HELP I’M IN THE FIRE!!! – ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THOSE IN DIFFICULT TRIALS

Oh God, this trial is too hard.

I can’t take any more.

My marriage is under attack, my daughter is acting crazy, my co-worker is undermining me on the job, I am in debt, now the doctor says to come in because he needs to discuss my test results…….help Jesus!!!!!!!  Help!!!!!

Is this you?

Is this the place that you are at right now?

Is this how you feel today?

Listen God loves you and He trusts you with this test just like He trusted Job with his test.

He has a lot of faith in what He has already put in you and provided for you to make you victorious.

Do you have faith in what He has already put in you and provided for you to make you victorious?

Do you believe that Christ in you is the hope of glory?

Do you believe that greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world?

Do you believe that the same resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you?

Do you believe that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you?

Do you believe that His angels are encamped all around you guarding and protecting you?

Do you believe that no weapon formed against you shall prosper?

Do you believe that this trial has come to make you strong and not to destroy you?

Do you believe that your times are in His hands?

Do you believe His grace is sufficient for you?

Do you believe that He is working all things together for good because you love Him and are the called according to His purposes?

I ask you again, do you have faith in what God has already placed in you and provided for you to make you victorious?

The work is to believe.

No matter how much the enemy bombards your mind with thoughts that are opposite to the above truths, purpose in your heart to fight the good fight of faith and hold fast to the truth of God’s Word.

No matter how your circumstances seem to contradict what God has said, determine to believe the report of the Lord, not your report, the report of others, and definitely not the report of the enemy.

Determine by the grace of God to hold fast to the truth of His Word with tenacity, to lock down on it like a Pit Bull locking its jaws on a victim.

My prayer for you today is not that the Lord would take you out of your fiery trial, but that you would begin to see it through His eyes, that your faith in Him and in His Word will not fail you, and that after being tried and tested, you will come out as pure gold, learning what He desires you to learn, changing how He desires you to change, having what He desires you to have and essentially, and ultimately becoming what He desires you.

Be encouraged!

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THOSE WHO WAIT

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THOSE WHO WAIT

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.

(Psalm 130:5, 6 – NKJV)

There are many things I want to do, many that I have the ability to do, and many things God has told me I will do, however, my mandate from the Lord is to wait on Him and to prioritize prayer, time in His presence and time in the Word so I must wait.

Is there anyone else in a similar position?

Waiting on the Lord is costly in many ways and often misunderstood and judged by others, even fellow Christians, as complacency, laziness, apathy, indifference, and even foolishness.

But what those who take that stance don’t realize is that:

It is in waiting on the Lord that you gain an understanding of His Word.

It is in waiting on the Lord that we get to learn His ways

It is in waiting on the Lord that our spirit is strengthened

It is in waiting on the Lord that our flesh is mortified

It is in waiting on the Lord that the true motives of our hearts are revealed and where necessary, purified.

It is in the waiting on the Lord that we better understand His Word

It is in waiting on the Lord that we receive rhema words from Him.

It is in waiting on the Lord that His will for our lives is clarified and plans and strategies revealed.

It is in waiting on the Lord that we recognize our total and utter dependence on Him

It is in waiting on the Lord that He gives us spiritual sustenance

It is in waiting on the Lord that our character is built

It is in waiting on the Lord that discipline is fostered

It is in waiting on the Lord that hope is kept alive.

It is in waiting on the Lord that we are filled with His power

It is in waiting on the Lord that we receive His direction

It is in waiting on the Lord that we grow in our trust in Him

It is in waiting that our prayer life increases.

It is in waiting on the Lord that we are prepared to be effective Believers in this world, advancing the Kingdom of God and demonstrating His glory in all facets of our lives.

Waiting on the Lord is not an idle, passive position.

Yes there are times of isolation in prayer, His presence and the Word, but more often than not, it is going about our daily responsibilities yet maintaining a position of inner-silence that He may speak, a position of expecting things from Him, a position of dependency on Him, and a position of alertness and readiness for obedience to any instruction He may give. It is a position of a soldier ready for battle and of a servant ready for service.

Just as it was the Father’s will for Jesus to have a lifestyle of waiting on Him, it is the Father’s will for us to have a lifestyle of waiting on the Lord.

Sometimes waiting on the Lord is difficult, but for those who are willing to “tough it out”, what is gained in and as a result of the process of waiting will be so, so worth it.

If God has given you a vision or taste of what is to come in your life, whether it pertains to the manifestation of a scriptural promise, salvation of loved ones, healing, marriage, family, kids, career, ministry, business, or whatever, be encouraged to wait on Him.

I will close with some words from a popular gospel song by Darwin Hobbs and Voices of Unity.

“God is able to do just what He said He will do,

He’s gonna fulfill every promise to you,

Don’t give up on God, cause He won’t give up on you,

HE’S ABLE!”

Be encouraged!
